I found the folks at Academy Bank in Liberty, Mo to be very helpful. If you need a bank, I would definitely recommend this bank as the people are super nice and helpful.

Academy Bank in Liberty Commons is the only place I Bank at. The staffing, hours, location, convenience Is the reason for this review. I want to that you Brie for clarifying my online account because the open chat online was not as helpful as I would have liked it to be.

Never really had issues at this location. I will say it gets very busy at times and they only have one teller operating the whole front end and the drive through by her self. Yet they have all these bankers at desks not interacting with anyone. Either get more tellers or have those bankers help and chip in at the counter when it gets busy. No David, I don’t want a Pepsi, I want you to hop behind the counter and help that poor teller out. The line is out the door and the drive through is backed up.

The so called "Manager" Jason Black is extremely rude. He has no business being in charge of a bank when he has terrible social skills with the public. He is worst than his employees. I'd rather speak to one of them over him. He is a condescending entity that should have to take tact classes or just downright demoted. Avoid this rude individual at all costs. I'm sure he'll find a way to purposely be rude for know reason though. He seems to get joy out of doing so. The pure definition of evil.

I had a great experience at Academy bank in Liberty Missouri , Tyler was so helpful and was able to make the process of getting our LLC fast and easy !!! Customer service on point !

They don't actually want to do anything. They always tell me to do it on my app. I didn't drive all the way to the bank to use an app on my phone.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents. They have had nothing but issues with this bank since opening the account. Academy Bank CONSTANTLY processes transactions, then puts the transaction total back into your bank account, then removes it AGAIN. So you literally never know how much money you have or don't have in your account. One minute your transaction is processed, then it's not, then it is. It's absolutely RIDICULOUS.They also CHARGE YOU to have a savings account. A literal fee just to have a savings account. There are plenty of banks that DON'T charge you any type of fees. Academy Bank also takes it upon themselves to transfer money from your checking account to your savings account WITHOUT your knowledge; which in turn causes you to overdraft or your payment to bounce because the money you thought was in your checking account is now in your savings account. I would NEVER use this bank. EVER. Save yourself time and hassle and stress by choosing a different bank.

Tried depositing a check made out to myself and my father. We both signed the check and went to the bank. Teller said he couldn’t deposit it due to FDIC regulations and the only way to deposit it would be into a joint account. We went to my fathers bank, us bank, literally across the street and deposited it in his account with no issues. I’ve been reading up on FDIC regulations in this circumstance and haven’t found any regulations even similar to what the teller described. This bank and the majority of its locations are like this. A bunch of clowns running a cheap circus.

Very poor bank to choose to do business with. I own my own business and they shut down all of my accounts because I used cash app to get paid from some clients is the only reason they gave me… there decision to shut down all of my accounts cost me thousands of dollars on a job that I was working on in that time. Customer service is very poor and they’re all very rude. The liberty branch was the bank that I normally went to or the one in Kearny and they’re both very very rude and not helpful at all. If you go to liberty and choose to bank at Academy Bank I would highly suggest to go across the street to US Bank and choose to go with them. They are very helpful and very friendly. Academy bank in 10 to 20 years will probably go bankrupt. Academy bank doesn’t have the capital like other banks do such as US Bank Or Bank of America. My lawyer is currently filing for a lawsuit against Academy banks for there wrongful doing and I will get paid my damages that academy bank has caused. My lawyer has informed me that there is a lot of lawsuits against academy bank and they are known for unexpectedly shutting down your accounts. When looking for a good bank to bank with run for the hills when it comes to Academy bank run very fast lol
