Went to er on July 10th. Had dr adam Skinner, and nurse practitioner
Barry kentopp.they were worst dr s possible. I had a broken bone and was refused any medication.sent me home and said take a Tylenol.also they were very rude.didnt care how I felt at all.im contacting medical review board. Plz avoid this abusive treatment at all costs.they don't care about anyone but themselves

The ER staff was great. I hate leaving a review like this because they took great care of me. My review is about the billing department. It's like pulling teeth to get a dang bill from them. I'm having to wait up to 30 days from now for a statement. My visit was a month ago. So up to 2 months? We live in the 21st century. What are they doing, carving them out of stone???

Went to the ER at 8am and was promptly registered, triaged, and sent for a CT scan within 20 minutes of arriving. The Dr. on shift explained my diagnosis, options, and recommendations for treatment. I was out by 10am. Everyone I encountered…..my nurse, imaging tech, and doctor were all top notch as far as I’m concerned. While I hope I don’t ever need to see these folks again anytime soon, they did a fantastic job and I know where to go if I ever have another medical emergency.

I rarely write bad reviews but this was the worse emergency room experience I’ve ever had in my life….. first of all, the er wait time online was a LIE! I’ve never seen anything like it this. Long wait, unsanitary, patients in the ER hallways outside of rooms waiting on beds and in chairs…My three year old end up getting derma bond on his cut. The dr grabbed some paper towel, wet it with the water from the faucet, wiped my babys cut and guess what, the dr started blowing on the derma bond she had just applied to the cut to speed up the drying!!! I said is this really sanitary for you to blow on this…She says oh yes it’s not a problem! I was instantly furious. …it was just terrible, I could scream right now.

Worst ED around. I have a chronic illness and explained it to the ER doctor. I needed fluids as I was dehydrated. He asked “How are you losing fluids if you are not vomiting or have diarrhea”. I had just told him why. Then he begins gaslighting me. Then nurse starts in on me as well. I left without being seen. As I was leaving the nurse says to my mom “Good luck with that” and points at me!!! Will never go back to that hospital. So disrespectful and uncaring!!! The actual rating I want to give is more like a -10. ?

My day started out horrible and I had extreme pain in my abdomen. Was home alone and didn’t have anyone to take me to the emergency room or urgent care. Started out at urgent care at Care Now in Lees Summit and was referred to this medical center. I drove myself down the road and was greeted by very nice and professional staff from reception to emergency room check in, lab personnel, nurses, doctors and med students. I’ve never had a better experience at any other hospital. My words were heard, my pain wasn’t downsized, and I was taken care of like family. I was explained my diagnosis very clearly and all of my questions were answered. I am feeling much better mentally because now I can take the next steps necessary to make sure my diagnosis doesn’t happen in the extremes that it did today. And of course feeling better physically. I would recommend this hospital 1000% to anyone I know. Thank you all so much for everything that you did for me and everything that you do for others. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year ❤️

The er wait time was ridiculous! It said 16 minutes online. I ended up leaving without being seen after 3 hours!

I was told by one of your HCA 24 hour doctors on live. I explained I was having sharp pain on left side of jaw. She had me to something to make sure it wasn’t sinus. She had me to immediately go to ER. I got there at 11:25pm on 10/16/2023 -10/17/23 I told the nurse Mary, what was going on. She ask me if I had dental work, and I told her I’m in process of getting a tooth fix, but wasn’t in any pain from that and doctor told me to come in and get my heart checked. So me and husband sit there for an hour. And I went to ask another nurse, shouldn’t someone be checking me out I’m having pains in my jaw? She said to me there are other ppl ahead of you. I said I do understand, but I thought when it has to do with heart you could do ekg? She responded saying well you here for a tooth ache. No ma’am I said, I don’t have a tooth ache. Dr sent me here because I’m having jaw pains and when that happened to me before I was having a heart attack. The nice nurse said I’m so sorry, but the ER nurse said you was having a tooth ache. This is the second time coming to ER that this nurse Mary has made me feel so uncomfortable.It’s very important when someone is in pain that kindness helps a lot. But Nurse Mary attitude is very negative. She cut me off when I was explaining my situation to her. Thank you so much for your time to listen to me on this matter.The Doctor Skinner, Adam that treated me was Awesome in taking care of me. I thank him deeply.

Excellent service. Dr. Nicole Van Duyne met with me promptly and was especially informative. Her receptionist was very cordial and helpful providing great directions to the correct building and the doctor's office.

My husband was in the hospital for 3 days in August. Is there any reason why there is no any kind of security during the day? Anybody from the street can come to the hospital rooms. It is not safe for staff or patients. Please, look into this. One of the sweet nurses we had also expressed her concern about this.

Always as quick as possible and so friendly!! Had a CT scan after a car crash in less than 2 hours for the whole visit!

Quick service and hardly any wait, got through the process and many tests were taken straight out. Lots of blood draws though, kind of confusing they were taking so much.
