I’m so disappointed in this branch I will never go back. Out 455 dollars for one year and 159 for another after my tax agent missed up. No discount or anything offered except for next year. Even after I told them I would never use them again. Waiting on a call from a corporate manager now. This is not ok and someone needs to be held accountable for this mistake.

Great people at the office , but horrible upper management!!!
After having my CPA for 15 years and him retiring, I was looking for another firm. I ran out of time this year and was referred to Carol Ford at H&R Block, I had a great experience with her and the staff at that location. Carol got them completed quickly and was very happy with my experience. That's where it ends, I was told a price for doing my 2023 taxes and was more then fine with that but needed a amended tax done on my 2022 that was completed but missed one thing and needed it amended from previous year. I was given a price that Carol was told on the phone that day, I overheard but then her Boss changed it when I came in to pay . Carol called her on the office line but then she called Carol on her personal phone. It seemed odd and would not answer her from any company owned devices . I over heard her arguing with Carol in front of me and was not call for , Carol took it and apologized for Danette I think was her name that they had to charge me more for filling my 2022 amended return at the same price at my 2023. I was upset on many points how she treated Carol and how the pricing changed. I would recommend carol and the staff at the location but make sure you get upper management to send you something with exact pricing. I hate writing reviews about horrible experiences and think some are just a person ridiculous opinion but when you are dealing with your earned money and with the economy I felt people should be aware of what could possible happen to them.

I recommend H & R Block. I have used the company for years. I particularly like the Lee's Summit office on Rice Road because the preparer was accurate and friendly.

I decided to use H&R Block this year because I got married last year and have never filed with a partner. 300 dollars and 30 minutes later I realized I should have just used TurboTax or the IRS website. I got back less than I did when I tried to file online by myself as well as now having to pay more to go through H&R Block. I normally get quite a few deductions doing it myself because my job - that was not offered or even discussed.

My Taxpro is helpful and great in their review of my return. Makes it easy to get completed without the worries that I missed something. I also get the right back-up if there was an error, or if I have identity troubles.

I was with H&R Block for several years and tried a couple of other places and was not as satisfied. I went back to Block this year and worked with Jody Taylor and my experience was awesome. I look forward to working with her again next year!!

My preparer Kathy is the best, super nice and a pleasure to work with. I don't mind sitting there for 30 mins .

We will always be able to find things we would like better: Lower fees, a higher return but Ive been choosing H & R Block for 34+ years so over all, Im a satisfied client.

Be careful with some of the staff at the LS location. They don't seem like they know what they are doing. Would NOT recommend.
