I've heard from so many people why they prefer Lowe's to Home Depot. I witnessed it first hand today! I've been looking around for blinds for my windows. The lady at Lowe's was so helpful and friendly! Went to check out Home Depot for a second opinion. My mom warned me they are never any help, which is why she sticks to Lowe's. She was right! The laziest, rudest staff ever! 3 of them sitting at their desk as we tried maneuver a large rug! No offer to help. I finally asked one of them to get us a cart. Asked about blinds, and the lady seemed so annoyed by that, so we just left! Trust me people!! Stick to Lowe's they are amazing!!

They were rude individuals with no care in the world. We waited for help but they were rude and walked past us as if we weren't there. Two guys were rude when they were driving the lift down the aisle. I wouldn't pick this Home Depot. Wouldn't recommend. Try a different store.

A woman employed at your store SCREAMED AT ME today. She was restocking and I was walking by. I wasn't near her and her reaction was INSANE. I was too startled to get her name off her name tag. Home Depot should be ashamed.

Bought flooring online by the pallet. Needed to return 5 unopened boxes. Took them to Belton store and they said I had to return them at Lee's Summit (mind you, I drove an hour from my house to Belton). So reload then in my car and drive another 20 minutes. Unload them and go inside. After several minutes and multiple discussions, I was told they didn't carry them and since I bought 3 pallets instead of individual boxes, I couldn't return 5 boxes but I could return a full pallet? I didn't have a full pallet, I had 5 boxes. But wait, you don't carry them anymore but you would refund a full pallet If I brought that ? Mind you, I spent $6,187 on flooring and was trying to return $379 worth of flooring. Sign behind customer service says " fast and easy returns at any store". They would not refund my money. Had receipt and was within 90 day return window. Since we had already moved these boxes several times at home and had now loaded and unloaded them at two Home Depot stores, we were done and my husband told them we were not moving them again. No refund. Was told to try and sell them on market place - really? Your sign says fast and easy returns at any store. We left the boxes. I'm sure one of the associates will take them home and sell them on marketplace. Then I called the 1-800 number. Went thru what had happened, she puts me on hold and comes back with same story- sorry, since you bought by the pallet you have to return by the pallet. WTF? And then SHE proceeds to tell me I could try to sell them on market place. Again, WTF? In the last 10 months, I have spent over $25,000 at Home Depot building a new house and this is the service I get? I have bought online at Lowes items not sold in store and they have refunded me money money in store with no issues. Take down your "fast and easy returns at any store" signs because that is BS. $379 lesson learned - never shop at Home Depot again. Oh, by the way, do you how much it cost to build a 4,000 sq ft house- lots and that money is all going to Lowe's and Menards. Worst experience ever. Goodbye Home Depot and yes, I will make sure my builder, my family and my friends know how horrible Home Depot is and to take their business to Lowe's or Menards or their local lumber yard.

They have people walking around the store trying to sell you products. I made an appointment with one of these. They never showed up. I called Home Depot and they acted like it was a total separate thing from them. But there those men are walking around the store and making fake appointments.

The Lees Summit Home Depot was our choice for a dual kitchen full remodel with new appliances. We paid for a full dual kitchen remodel in our 40 year old home that exceeds mid-$40,000, and more with a large array of new kitchen appliances plus washer/dryer. It was supposed to be a full replacement of like for like: what’s this mean: we also purchased two microwaves, two side-by-side refrigerators, and replace all hookups for two existing dishwashers, hookup of the two refrigerators, two garbage disposals. More than 6 months later, we’re at least another month out. What went wrong, hard to figure out where to begin. No customer service, total handoff and no one asking is all going well unless we call; there wasn’t central GEneral Contractor supervision, wrong measurements, shoddy installation of cabinets; after numerous calls to fix incomplete orders, we’re still trying to get the cabinet we said was missing in mid-June. This isn’t a full list, but let’s continue. Today, 9/30/22, our plumber showed up, mind you we had a Home Depot contract to do everything. The plumber said he wasn’t able to reconnect our refrigerator’s water supply, it wasn’t in their Home Depot contract, WTH?. That would be another $1,000 if we want to add the refrigerator. The cabinet under our sink was incorrectly designed by the store, so when it was arrived and was installed it left the water supply pipes fully behind the back under sink cabinet. Then the cabinet installer “chopped holes” to access the grey water pipes, we said that’s not acceptable. Every person coming to do: electrical, plumbing, counters all commented how bad, unlevel our main floor kitchen looked. Today, after waiting 4 hours the plumber left waiting to get Home Depot to authorize a PO to one of a few plumbing issues,, and he still couldn’t install what I had originally, a hookup access for my refrigerator. I would tell anyone doing work through this Home Depot process to run, hide, escape and don’t believe anything is able to get done as presented or represented in the signed and pre-paid contract. I get supply issues, labor supply challenges, coordinating on timing to complete, but the “turn-key” work for 2 kitchens, I would now happily pay more to an independent contractor to perform the work that they would own. We didn’t take a single shortcut and paid in advance. After the 20th “I’m sorry” but literally nothing improves, I don’t want to hear it one more time and I’ve told them that. We’re at thr start of our 5th month of washing dishes in our tub, for a family of 5, really!. Who wants to sign up? We’re 22 year residents and shoppers of Home Depot. After this, not anymore, even with one more apology that doesn’t fix our central needs, a completed kitchen, not even both of them at the same time. Short of getting done and getting out, I won’t feel like we bought a fair priced home improvement. I’ve spoken up and down the chain of command. We’re told next week we may be able to schedule a plumber, will they hookup our garbage disposal, dishwasher and refrigerator, I don’t know when we will get them out and if they will do the whole Job promised. Brien and Kelly S, profoundly disappointed and lacking Faith anything will be done as agreed and pre-paid, now going on 7 months since we completed our design, order and pre-payment.

Sharon in self pay refused to help my Disabled Veteran husband. She told him to come back in during the day, which he was there at 3pm. Because she wasn’t gone help him, and when he asked to speak to a manager he was then told he was to “busy” to come help. We’re in the middle of a remodel, my money will be better spent elsewhere. When talking to another employee she gave every excuse why Sharon was rude. Excuse me, but the whole world is short staffed that’s NO right to treat people the way she was. Especially when someone ask for help.

We wanted 2 patio sets and the service was exceptional. They were missing one lumbar pillow that I wanted for the set and the customer service rep got online and found it nearby for us.

Kitchen remodel service. This is the biggest scam Home Depot is not the one doing the work. They hired a third party which was a guy with no experience and had no idea what he was doing. I paid over $14,000 and my kitchen looked like I had did the work myself I was told the whole remodel would take 1 week and it has now been 8 months. There has been multiple people out trying to repair the work the first guy did. I had to remove everything out of my kitchen for weeks at a time then clean the whole kitchen again before putting everything back. Then tried to leave a 2 inch gap around my dishwasher all the drawers keep falling down. Worst decision I ever made. Then Home Depot tired to only offer $200 for 8 months of frustration, multiple days of missed work, and weeks without a kitchen to cook in. I guess if your project is more than $20,000 then you might get a real professional, or if your a certain race or live in a certain area. Who knows!

this Home depot pretty much has all I ever need for home improvement, appliances and tools. their customer service is pretty good and can usually get any issue resolved in a timely manner. the building itself is pretty well taken care of as well.

I was visiting from out of town and I urgently needed something for my camper. Danie Plank who was a manager saw me looking for what I needed. Her kindness and willingness to help really struck me. This day and age you just don't find people like that. Not to mention she had a great sense of humor! I hope her boss sees this and knows what a great gal they have!!

Suburban Consumer Home Center This Home Depot is our "go-to" store for bedding plants, paint, tools, light electrical, and other stuff that the suburban consumer needs on a moment's notice. My dog is always welcomed, and staff even provides her treats. Parking is ample and well lit. Consumer and contractor grade products are offered. But: I doubt if I will be using them again for supplies for a serious project. We needed 2,000 feet of 1/4 round molding for a flooring project in our home. Needless to say they did not have that quantity on hand, but offered to order it for us and deliver it to our house within our schedule. Since we had contractors scheduled to show up on Monday morning, a Friday delivery between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM looked perfect. Waiting around the house all day I finally called the store at 6:55 PM to check the order status. Turns out our order had never been loaded on their carrier's truck! The service rep contacted a number of other stores and said that she could get most of it delivered on Saturday. Saturday mid-day came an a call came in from that store saying that they were having trouble with their delivery company and asked when our "drop dead" date for delivery was. I told them Monday morning, and sure enough a rental truck showed up with our delivery around 10:30 AM (I had stalled my contractor until noon). Yes, I finally did get my order delivered in time to start work. And yes they did offer to wave the delivery fee. However, I still "lost" two full days waiting around the house for the delivery when there were other thing I should have been doing. So I am convinced that I will still use them for the odd drill bit or toilet flush valve, but for larger projects I believe a proper lumber yard will be my source.
