**Final Update**overall feel FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE! I could not be more satisfied with the customer service and care that was taken with my mother's clothing and the donation items that were taken into distribute to those in need! I also found some fabulous outfits 3 dresses and 2 wallets and spent 40 bucks! A++So I've been going through a pretty difficult time trying to weed through all of my mother's belongings after her passing. She was absolutely a bonafide hoarder; but a lot of her clothes were not just high quality brands, but most still have the tags on them! However, when it came to trying to go through or get rid of things in this house in addition to the process it takes to do it; has been a complete nightmare. I've had even donation places that just do that, only deny to pick up my 'gifted' and 'donated' items because they can't handle the load. That being said I was taking a chance by gathering what I knew to be exactly what Clothes Mentor accepts and their styles and sizes of brand new perfect clothing items just to see if I could get anything out of it at all.I've never had a great experience with any resale shop of any kind. Even the previous owners of this location-I've never had a good reports or experience. However, I reached out via their Facebook page a couple days in advance just to give them a heads up as to the amount and what I would be bringing in, and not only did they reply immediately but that they were more than happy for me to come in. Even the day I did come in; although the one lady who does the pricing (I'm guessing is the owner) who was right they're going through all of the piles in front of me; responded more than polite and was more than happy to take care of me. And although it wouldn't probably be quoted or done that day, they were happy yet take it.As I started to tell her my story and my situation She also offered information for donation resources and relationships she has made a that have been very beneficial. Ultimately she informed me about a connection to a woman who has distributed donated items to local shelters and benefits to women who are trying to acclimate to society after incarceration. I already had a car full of things I was hoping to find a clothes donation bin along the way or on my way home from this trip and all I had to do was pull around back and they took those too!I have been so satisfied just with the initial experience itself and the mindfulness taken to everything that should be as far as the items I was donating or wanting to resell. Every part of this experience so far has been more than helpful but also fulfilling to know that my mother's items are going to a good cause and a great company in order to get something if anything out of her unused items.

I've been here 5 times over 2 years to sell clothes and shop. I usually get too frustrated with the selling process that I don't even bother to shop. EVERY time I go there they want me (the customer) to make accommodations for them - telling me I have to pick up same day, but can't give me a time estimate. Telling me they can't look at my items because they are 72 hours away from a corporate visit and don't want clutter, telling me they won't take xs because they don't accept "juniors" I'm a 31 year old woman, women come in all sizes, even xs. Telling me I need to do this or do that because THEY are short staffed or are preparing for an event. I'm honestly surprised they are still in business, with poor customer service and extreme disorganization. ?

When I first started shopping with Clothes Mentor the standards were set high. My experience has been dissapointing this year 2022.

Wonderful selection of clothing. The staff is always polite and willing to help. I sell preloved clothes often and they are honest with me on my awesome finds or what I need to improve. Love shopping there.

I have shopped there since the day this store opened. 50-75% of my closet (s) are from this store. I believe in recycle and upcycle. Yesterday, I spent 130.00 and was told by the new manager I could not use my 50.00+ in store credit nor could I use a 20% coupon. Everything was full price except one pair of 50% off shoes that came to 7.00. This has never happened where I could not use store credit for items I sold to the store. I did not ask to use both. I was told neither would be accepted individually. Got madder after I came home and thought about it more. Not sure I will go back. I will drive to the Overland Park store first.

Haven't been in for a while, but they do not disappoint. I seem to find things- serious and fun clothes. Go check them out, make sure you have time to browse.

Don't bother trying to sell clothes here. I took in 3 containers of clothes and they bought one item - maybe 60 percent of the clothes still had price tags on them and the rest were barely worn. I should have known from looking around the store - most of the items looked like your basic thrift store stuff. Not trendy or in good condition. It was also pretty obvious that they didn't actually go through the clothes based on the bins when I picked them up. There were 200 dollar designer jeans in the mix - with tags - but not good enough for this store? I don't get it. Also - when I walked in the woman was like "you know that we take women's business casual right?" In a sort of condescending way. I guess that the nice slacks and suits in my bins don't fit the bill - but the mom jeans they had on display do? Funny. They gave me 9 dollars for the one dress they did buy, which wasn't as nice as a lot of the stuff.

I can say that I do not have a lot of experience in selling clothes. It was suggested to me by a friend. I had seven pairs of jeans that I tried to sell and this place only bought three. The three pairs of jeans that they bought were brand new and had never been worn and I only got $10 for them. Next time I will just donate. The staff were friendly and the service was quick.
