They advertise that they measure your foot for a perfect fit. There were two gals working, busy chit chatting with each other. Said, look around & let us know if we can help. So, I bet I tried on 20 boots, had no recommendations as to what was most comfortable.; just said, " You're just going to have to try everything on." Poor customer service.

Their return policy is a joke. But most importantly, the ladies who work there are unprofessional and talk to you with disrespect. They have a great selection but their customer service is terrible.

I purchased a pair of Carolina rubber boots on January 28th. The box said slip resistant rubber sole. These boots were extremely slippery on wet concrete. I wore them twice at work and called to see how Chuck’s Boots could help me out. The woman I spoke with in the phone told me they don’t make the boots and can’t guarantee that the boots wouldn’t slip on every surface and slip resistant didn’t mean slip proof. I was concerned as I figured a pair of rubber boots should certainly offer me slip protection on a wet concrete floor. If rubber wouldn’t give me traction I would certainly have trouble picking out any pair that would. The woman said wouldn’t help me because they only sell boots and don’t make them and I could call Carolina if I didn’t like that didn’t satisfy my concerns This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve heard from a retailer in years. It makes it very difficult to risk spending my money at a local boot shop when I know the major corporate retailers will take care of me for these types of issue. This is the last pair I’ll be purchasing from Chuck’sResponse to Chuck's Reply:As a consumer, I am left to trust the information that the manufacturer puts on a label. There is no way for me to know if a product is going to work until I purchase said product and try it out. It is then left to good faith, by purchasing a product produced by a reputable manufacturer from a reputable retailer, that if the consumer has a reasonable concern with a product that the retailer will take care of the customer. Your response of being unable to help is absurd. The truth is that you're unwilling to help with the situation. Having been in retail for many years, it is well understood that there is a certain allowance for returns due to dissatisfaction of the customer. In this case I was dissatisfied with the product and it was made to be my fault that Carolina didn't make it for my intended use. Is it left for me to think that I should walk into your store and call the manufacturer of each product I am interested in buying and ask if it will meet my expectations. Perhaps it's my job to bring in a bottle of water and pour it on the floor to ensure the boots I am purchasing have the slip resistance that one would expect from a slip resistant shoe? Again, I am fully aware that these weren't slip proof. However, there was zero slip resistance after stepping in the slightest amount of water on a concrete floor. If you expect me to believe that these boots were only intended for gardening then please explain why they are labeled as electrical hazard rated and puncture resistant? It is not unreasonable for me to think that rubber boots would offer me some level of sure footedness on wet concrete. They don't have to be slip proof. They only had to offer slightly more traction than a roller skate. I wore these exactly twice before calling and asking what my options were expecting an understanding of at least a store credit. Instead I was told that you don't make 'em you just sell 'em.

I was helped by Sean, and he did a fantastic job! Within a minute of entering the store he asked if he could help, and directed me to the boot I ended up buying. 10/10 would suggest coming here. Sean made the atmosphere very welcoming! Enjoyed chatting with him while I tried on my boots.
