Branch hours are very inconvenient. Otherwise it is a good bank.

Checked on whether or not I could use their services. I am a BMO customer and the merger didn't go thru yet. If you're a BMO customer you can use the drive-thru.

I went to the drive tru today to ask for counter checks since my checks has not arrived yet. They want to charge me $4/pge. I cannot believe that. I've been with this bank for 14 years. The supervisor also wanted me to move away from the drive tru since there is another customer behind me. Hmmm, I'm a customer also, right? Anyway, I just told her that forget about it. I'm going to close my checking and savings account here and my daughters checking account. Moving to central bank of the Midwest! Read a lot of good reviews from this bank!

Corporate bank of the west is Horrible! Forget ever getting banking support on the phone. I have been on hold repeatedly for over an hour and never got call answered. Banking here will be nothing but problems. I had a declined card that should not be and there is no way to get someone to help. I have been customer for 20 years and will be closing all my accounts next week.

Bank Of The West Rocks!! I'm never just standing in line waiting on one teller. Every time I visit there are multiple tellers!!

So you charge me a stupid fee but tell me it will be removed after I call the branch. However, you don't actually remove the fee, and when I call ask why, you tell me you changed your mind but couldn't find my "information" to tell me, which allowed you to then charge me additional fees because I didn't pay the fee you told me would be refunded. Really? So glad I don't bank with you anymore. Hope you go out of business.

My Autistic son opened account with Bank Of West over a year ago. And he was treated with some much kindness and respect. And his older brother has been with them for years. Mrs Ekans was very kind to him answer all his question.

BEWARE OF THIS BANK. My experience has been flat out awful. I am an honorably discharged Veteran and was treated like gum underneath someone's shoe by this Bank. From soup to nuts the communication within this company is sub par to almost non-existent at all. You would be better off stuffing your money in between your mattress or in a mason jar in grandparents backyard.

Although reluctant to write this I feel I had to share my experience with other people. I have never written a review like this in my life BUYER BEWARE: I opened an account with Bank of the West around a year ago with the purpose of being a secondary bank for me since I had moved to the area from another state. Initially it was a normal experience until I had used the account for bills which kicked in their "gold line credit line" which is used to cover overdraft charges at a percentage rate. In theory this is a great offering only part is literally before I had a chance to make payment prior to being over 30 days they literally called my job over a very minor overdraft. I was mortified and almost could not believe my ears. From that point I really had no intention of staying with the bank. They have a right to pursue their money but that was too much for me. I kept using the account here and there but not anything significant. I would pop into the location near me and make payment and they were always very friendly. After while I decided I wanted to close the account since it was not beneficial for me. This was September of 2016. I went to the teller and specifically asked to close my account and asked what was required. She looked up my account and told me the total owed was $100.00 and my account would be closed. I left thinking everything was good to go. I than changed my address two weeks later to move closer to my job. I stopped receiving emails and never herd from them again. 6 months later while applying for a loan I see I had a charge off for $231.00 from Bank of the West. I have never had a collection or charge off in my life to which I can provide proof. I drive to my original location I setup my account the same location I closed my account. To my surprise the location was closed for business. I decided to call. I called Bank of the West and they route me to collections. After being bounced around a bit I speak with a representative from Bank of the west. Initially the conversation was normal until I expressed that I had changed my address and never got a call or email. He told me that is not his problem and there was nothing he could do about it. I had told him I was an honorably discharged veteran and he said it does not matter. I than proceeded to pay the full amount even though I was very unhappy. That evening I could not sleep. A couple days later I decided to go to another Bank of the West location. 700 NE State Road 291, Lees Summit , MO 64086. I walked in and asked to speak to a manager as a teller would not be as efficient in handling my situation. I was able to sit and speak with a manager and explained my situation. She said to try and get proof of payment and also she said her branch manager was on vacation for a week and then she would be going on vacation for a week and that I would have to wait to hear back. I expressed to her I was in the process of trying to get a mortgage and my credit score was destroyed by this. I walked out pretty sad. I decided to call bank of the west to get proof of payment. I called Bank of the west. They routed me to collections. First time it range and literally was picked up and dropped. Second call right to voicemail mind you this process takes about 5-10 minutes each time. Finally I called and asked that they stay on the line. I finally get in touch with someone. They told me they could not send me any proof of payment and to call another collections department. They routed me there and they said they had no proof of me existing. I finally just gave up. I called the manager told her I tried my best and decided to wait. I waited over 8 days and never received one phone call. I drove into the branch explained my situation and the Branch Manager had no idea what i was taking about which basically means the original manager never notified the branch manager. I handed her all my paper work showing I did a dispute and said it was wrong that it still showed a charge off for $231.00 which was incorrect since I had paid off the balance 8 days earlier
