I had a kitten born with what the vet said is basically spina bifida. I've never had to let a baby go before and John was the epitome of kindness and empathy. He treated my kitten and myself with compassion and respect

I tried switching to this vet just so I could get a full service for all my horses. I own an operate a ranch located in Macon and I thought the closest was mostly for teeth floating until I called them and they do the services, but when I asked to schedule an appointment after receiving a call back, they said that I’m not a client and they won’t do it. Because that was my intentions, and they said that I need to contact my vet for my horses in order to float teeth. That’s absolutely mind-boggling and horrible customer service. I’ve worked in the community for many many years and a lot of people nationwide. And the ones I do know Missouri are very well known amongst animal health community. Definitely would not recommend. I think I saved my horse bad experience.

So we live in Macon and we were looking to switch vets just to get a full service for our horses and we needed some teeth floating done, and so we called. They said that they did it and we never received a call back so we called again and they said since we aren’t clients, they won’t float our horses teeth. My husband asked how do we become a client and the lady on the phone said we already go to a vet in Macon and will have to ask them to float our horses teeth. Absolutely horrible customer service and I don’t know any vets office that would turn down money. My husband, being a vet tech in the army worked for many different vets throughout the state of Missouri and the state of Texas, So that doctors name is gonna be put out there. Absolutely ridiculous

My Shih-Tzu started convulsing with seizures early one morning. Panicked, we called and they told us to bring her immediately. We didn't even need an appointment. Right away, the vet checked her over and gave us detailed instructions about how to help her. We were given medication as well as special soft dog food to give her and instructions about how often to administer her medication, food, and water. She had seizures all day but he told us to expect that. She wouldn't have survived if it wasn't for this amazing vet clinic and their desire to help animals.

Took my new beagle puppy in on a Saturday ER visit. Dr Moore took care of our puppy and we didn't have to wait. Recommend for all your pet needs.

It is always sad to have to leave a poor review for a small town business, but I have repeatedly had issues here, specifically with rudeness. I went in today to ask a question about flee and tick medicine, as it was not working on my dog. The desk lady was very irritable and short with me the entire time. Every time I have called, I am met with the same woman who is just as rude over the phone. She tells me things like "that is not our problem, you will have to call the 800 number", but then never gives me the number and hangs up. My mom's dog needed stitches and my mom called up there to ask about an appointment. The lady informed her it was too late to get her stitches because the wound had been open for too long. My mom asked her if she would be okay and the lady said, "I sure hope so", then ended the call on her.The vet here is amazing, he is always kind and does very good work. If you can handle a rude desk lady, then go here. My business as well as my parents will go elsewhere.

Dr Moore and his staff are professional and knowledgeable. They won’t after services that are not needed. They will take care of your animals like they are their own! Highly recommend!

We had our female dog spay there and a few days later she came down sick, so we got another appt for Dr. John to see her on a Thursday. I could tell she was extremely sick and he didn't know what to do with her and just said if she wan't any better by Monday to come back in to see what he could do. She would have been dead by then!! Having some medical experience I could tell she was doing well enough to wait 4 more days. So I called MU vet clinic in Columbia and they got her in Friday. The doctor there knew right away she was in bad shape. Then stuck her right into the ICU that day and kept her there for 10 days. When she got home my wife had to take off work for a week to change dressings and help her walk outside. I believe she got the infection from the clinic's poor sterilization practices when they did the spay. We never went back because if I can do a better job at diagnosis than the vet, that tells me it is terrible place to put your animals!!!
