Although I agree that this store has a good selection of items, I really wouldn't call it a "dollar store." Only one aisle of the entire store is for $1 items, and the rest is normally priced drinks and soda. Overall I think this location is great for getting a quick snack in La Plata, but I expect deals on almost every item when I go to a dollar store. They didn't have that, which is why I can't give a 5-star rating.

I have to say the Dollar General here in La Plata used to be so friendly but it seems like in the last seven or eight months even the general manager is not friendly does not speak does not agree to does not say have a good day she will ask do you want to receipt today I decided to drive all the way to Kirksville Missouri 13 miles north of La Plata just because I get such a better reception in customer service from going in this is sad because I could just as easily drive to Walmart and I have to say Dollar General I am severely disappointed in you as a company I have visited your website and found no other way to contact you via email I have to publicly shame you in this saddens me
