I thought it was just bent cans and messed up boxes. Was I surprised. It is a small, reasonably priced local grocery store. The kind where people who can’t afford much and people who like a good deal go to shop. Even frozen foods. You never know unless you go.

Watch dates. There are a lot of very outdated things here, and the lack of air conditioning means I'm careful about anything heat sensitive that might have been here during summer (I never buy anything with flax seed, for example, or chips, because they are often rancid). That said, I've found better deals here than at any of the other salvage stores around Kirksville. It's hit or miss, but the hits are amazing. If you like seltzer, they will sell you a banana box full for $6, which works out to about 7¢ a can, for LaCroix and Perrier. Lots of gluten free items sometimes, as well.

This place is an Amish run salvage store where groceries that are imperfect or out of date are sold for rock bottom price. You never know what you will find. Sometimes it's pretty slim picking, other times it's a cheap feast! They also have a bunch of other random stuff including herbs and supplements.
