Let me start off I will never ever take another innocent animal to this place I took my dog there Friday night with an open wound. The receptionist doesn't acknowledge us I ask her if she's could get somebody My dog is bleeding she walks around the counter looks at her and goes she's not critical she can wait and then turns around and walks away. If you love your fur babies and I'm sure you do do not take them here

I brought in my cat Rigby after he started showing some alarming symptoms. The staff saw to him immediately and was able to do bloodwork and diagnose him within the hour. They were so communicative and helpful with his treatment, and because he had to stay the night, were happy to share updates when I would call. Thank you so much for your help in getting Rigby "over the hump". I hope he's able to live more comfortably now!

I can't thank the emergency animal clinic enough for saving my dog Archer's life with a splenectomy. Dr. Sass and Dr. Sandborn demonstrated incredible skill and expertise throughout the entire process. Their communication was exceptional, keeping us informed during Archer's stay and making sure we felt comfortable every step of the way.
What truly stood out was when Dr. Sass joined us on the floor to explain the surgery right before it began. It was a thoughtful gesture that showed how much they care about both the pets and their families. Thanks to their flawless execution of such a complex surgery, Archer is now on the road to recovery. I wholeheartedly recommend this hospital for any emergency pet needs!

This is the second time we’ve been turned away from this location. Who turns away a sick animal 45 minutes before you close? The first time our dog was dying and they refused us as well. Would not recommend this clinic at all!!

Brought my pup in for a bite that split his nose. They were professional, courteous, and so gentle with him. We were seen immediately where he was sedated and stitched within an hour. The doctor was so kind, very thankful for her and her staff. Thank you!

I took my deaf dog Blue to this place. I absolutely refuse to call it a clinic. Because a clinic is supposed to help the animal not misdiagnose what was wrong with him. The incompetence can be very dangerous to a pets life. He was having problems with his hind legs giving out on him. He was diagnosed by the vet as having a severely strained neck that affected his spine which caused weakness in his hind legs and was told to keep a 64# dog in a crate for 5 weeks and they gave him pain killers, steroids and muscle relaxers. So I took him home cordoned off an area in the Living room putting Blue in a crate would’ve been more detrimental than helpful. I was told to take him to his vet in the next week or so which I did and they got a copy of the report from that place. Blue seemed fine he seemed his normal self. His vet taking the word of the report to keep doing what the report stated to do. After the 5 weeks ended he was acting listless. So I took him back to his vet to do blood tests on Blue the vet came back to show me a tube of bloody fluid taken from his abdomen and that his abdomen was full of the fluid. The vet told me that the fluid in his abdomen is a strong sign of cancer. She ran tests and it came back cancerous. Vet told me to take him home spoil him and bring him back the next day to be euthanized. I was in a state of shock that day I found out and also when I took him back the Saturday after Thanksgiving to be euthanized. I cried for 3 days then I got ANGRY because if he would’ve been diagnosed correctly Blue could’ve been saved from 5 weeks of suffering. My question has this happened to other pets? I would’ve given this place a zero star rating if it would’ve let me. Avoid this place if you truly love your pet. I paid the bill with my AMEX and I called AMEX and the rep could tell right away how upset I was. So they called the Clinic and left five messages and NEVER got a call back. AMEX credited off the charges on my AMEX card. I will NEVER forgive them for what they did to my best friend.

This place was amazing under the tough circumstances I had. I got there at 6:30 am. The main vet that was there(wish I could remember her name) was very nice and explained everything. They even contacted Mizzou to see if my sweet girl Harley could get seen by the neurologist. Unfortunately, while there, things took a horrible turn, and it ended with the worst-case scenario. The whole staff was extremely nice and let me and my family have as much time as we needed to deal with the grief. I will forever be grateful for their kindness at such a tough time.

Miriam was the nicest person I’ve ever met at a vet, you could tell that she truly loved animals and she was incredibly kind. I was lucky to not have a true emergency, but Miriam is the exact person you would want to see in an event like that.

Super rude front desk staff. I wanted to wait for my dog to be treated here, but after seeing how rude and heartless the receptionists are, I wouldn’t even consider putting the care of my pet in the hands of this place. Horrible first impression based on the front desk staff alone. Glad I left and found care for my dog in less than three hours, which was the “minimum wait time” here. However, upon calling prior to the visit, there was no indication of the wait time whatsoever and we were encouraged to come in.

So my day with this place started early in the day ,I rushed my dog to them he taken some Meloxicam 15 mg which is what they give for pain to animals his size. Istopped at side door because I just had spine surgery and can't lift him the lady got someone and got him inside, I parked and went in to be stopped and told that they don't need to see him he was high on pot,not catching that the lady smelled pot and assumed it was pot, I told them that that wasn't it ,only to be told I was wrong he was only high on pot,I took my best friend home and he got worse,I took him back 8-9 at night, this time I seen the vet to be told that he's dying and even if she did the surgery now she don't think he will pull through it it was too late it was all inside him .If you love your animal this isn't the place to take them .I got to talk to the vet finally so she could tell me .sure she was nice,I don't need nice,if they would've treated my dog when I brought him in he had a chance..I will be looking into legal action.Oh then after all that they made him wait until the $600.00 bill was paid before they took him out his pain.Dont put yourself through this, no dont put your pet have to.This is my warning..my name is Travis Taylor,my best friends name was Jake Taylor, a 6 year old American Bully who was white with black spots he lived with his sister from birth and his daughter from birth he loved fruit veggies and McDonald's fries ? . This was my best friend , my wife , my son even my mother in law and all my dogs are devastated. Think twice before bringing your animal here.

If you love your pets, do not bring
them here! Our dog had obviously broken her leg. It was bent the wrong way, and she was in a lot of pain. We were the ONLY emergency patients there at the time, and it took about 15 minutes to see a tech and another 10 minutes to see a vet. They displayed major attitudes while discussing care. I voiced my concerns about their ability to service my pet, and the vet said, "good luck finding someone else on a weekend," turned around and walked out of the office. They could give a damn about your pets here! I yanked my pet out of there and went to Vetrinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Brentwood. We were taken to exam IMMEDIATELY; NO WAITING (and they were very busy too)! A tech started vitals and preliminaries WHILE another employee checked me in. DURING their check-in process, an E.R. doctor saw her. All this within 5 minutes of walking through the door. They administered pain meds within 10 minutes of entering their facility! Your fury family members are in the best of hands at VEG. So, night and day. Avoid Animal Emergency Clinic as if your pet's life depends on it....because it DOES!!!!! I would've given them (-) stars if it were possible!!

Ok this rating goes to Dr. Saas. She is knowledgeable and her schooling pays off!! I’m just another crazy cat lady to my black/white cat coming in wondering if he’s going to make it. At first, I was skeptical trusting by baby in the hands of a stranger. I meant to write this two weeks ago when I was in. She took care of him and helped him! As an untrusting person I was able to confide in her with my needs. She was extremely patient considering the circumstances. I would like to give credit where credit is due ave say thank you Dr. Saas! She helped by boy cat and gave me comfort
