DO NOT USE LOWES FOR ANY EXTERIOR INSTALLATION. I know some of you are thinking that goes without saying.... but, I guess I was naive. Story goes like this. Get quote to replace my front deck and stairs. Have to commit to the contract and get their financing. This started in May 2023. Ive been making payments on this since then. Fast forward to Dec 2023. After getting much runaround and making several payments on a loan for no services the finally schedule the install. But wait! It was not to be. Got a call the they have to reschedule for an unspecified date. At this point I had enough so I requested cancellation of the job and a full refund and cancellation of the dept. Not comes more runaround. It seams that the issue of getting back the money I have paid for no services rendered in flux. This company is horrible and I am seriously thinking of taking legal action against them for their deceptive practices.

Wow, I am left absolutely speechless after my negative experience with the returns desk at the Lowe's located at 1212 S Kirkwood Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122 Arrived somewhat close to store closing at 9:45, Friday night, and was initially helped by Derrick, Derrick informed us that Lowe's changed their return policy at the end of August and could not do an exchange for unused paver stones after we hauled all the paver stones into the store. The 8 cube shaped paver stones weigh about 50 pounds each. They would not work right for our new shed installation and we wanted to exchange them for thinner paver stones to be suitable for our project. Then the 'manager' (head cashier), Ben came over and scanned the items and said the computer would not let him exchange the unused paver stones. Ben seemed like he was just making things up and that he wasn't familiar with the new return policy implemented at the end of August, that sometimes he could do exchanges and sometimes he couldn't. That he did a 'few returns' earlier in the day that did work, but that it was hit and miss and unfortunately the computer wouldn't allow him to do an exchange. But that in this case he could not exchange the pavers for other pavers because they weren't the same type of pavers. Even though they were both pavers. Then a guy with long hair and lots of tattoos walked by and looked at the paver stones and laughed and kept walking (possibly high on marijuana). There was also a guy in a blue shirt but not in a uniform, standing around, doing nothing probably milking the timeclock, a bit behind the counter that looked like he was enjoying that they would not do the return. Lowe's obviously hates their customers and does not want them to return to do business with them. I am offended and disgusted with the negative nature of the experience I received at Lowe's and will never be returning to any Lowe's ever.

Not sure what changed at this location, but the customer service today was AMAZING. We had 4 different employees ask if we needed help. They were so friendly. The young man who checked us out was so nice. 5 stars for today's team at Kirkwood Lowes!

I went in and there is only one employee working the cashiers station. She was in self check out but still very busy. I did not catch her name which is unfortunate because she was a great employee. When I first walked in however there was another employee an older gentleman that saw me looking loss and quickly helped me find exactly what I was looking for and then proceeded to ask every other customer that he walked by how he could help them. The customer service here is quite delightful

I needed extra keys made so I called ahead to Lowe's to confirm they could make them, and where in the store to go. Was told to go to the kiosk by customer service, it's an automatic machine. I got them made, went home, and they work very poorly for the top lock, and not at all for the bottom lock of a front door. When I called back, the customer service person was very sorry and sympathetic; but then I learned she's not a fan of the machine, I could have gotten them made cheaper by having a person there make them... and I can't get my money back from Lowe's, I have to call the number on the kiosk! So wasted time, wasted money, and I have to find a place quickly to get a simple front door key made before I have to go away. Very hard to trust a company who takes your money and leaves you with nothing but hassles.

We needed a new fridge/freezer in the middle of the Pandemic and supply chain issues. After searching online, we contacted Lowes Kirkwood and ordered our unit. We had our new refrigerator ordered, delivered, and installed in less than two weeks and the entire experience was stellar, from the internet interface to the salespeople to the installers. It's uplifting to have such an outstanding experience in these troubled times.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Managers, assistant managers store associate make promises to complete paid for services without any follow-up going on eight weeks. Do not buy appliances from the store, they use a third-party delivery team that is terrible. The delivery team damage my tree when they pulled up to my house and now I'm stuck paying for what they damaged. Managers at every level are incompetent and don't care about auctioneer service once you've made a down payment.

Shopped at Lowes for over 20 years as a Carpenter/Contractor, spending thousands in the process. I purchased carpeting and had it installed in my basement in August 2016. The stairs and game room carpet are fine is fine but the plush in the family room is buckling and needs to be restretched. I called Lowes but they informed me that they only warranty labor for 2 years. I told them that their competitor Home Depot has a lifetime labor warranty. Well, too bad what they do, we won't do anything to address the issue. Hence, I will no longer be doing business with Lowes and suggest if you are buying carpet to be installed you go to Home Depot.

absolutely the biggest waste of time and money - ever! so much mis-communication among the staff; every single program they offer is mishandled and a complete sh**show; they don't follow their own corporate policies (due to a lack of training/corporate leadership).................... aka shop on ebay instead. lowe's is a perpetual letdown. save your money, go anywhere else.

Everyone I interacted with at this location was friendly and ready to assist and answer questions. Nick and Scotty were especially helpful in resolving an issue. Great staff.

When I lived in STL, this was my go to Lowe's. Ah, hell, it was my go to hardware and nursery store, period. Being immediately off of 44 on Lindbergh, made it easy access. Until I was prepping my house for sale, did I realize I haven't updated my review for 6 years. Bad me, bad Elite Yelper. Not how perfect you think your home is, when it is time to sell, there are various things that always need to be tweaked and repaired. Having this Lowe's close to home and always well stocked came in handy. I admit, I am not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to being a handyman. My "handyman" would send me to the hardware store for various parts and supplies and I always came here, because the associates would always help me find what I needed. Back tracking to my opening paragraph, I also came here for a lot of my nursery/gardening needs when I was doing landscaping at my STL home. Many times I found better deals on plants and containers then at many of the local nurseries near my LIndenwood Park home. I'll miss this Lowe's. You served me well while I lived in STL. Will I return? - To Lowe's yes, I have stock. When: September 24, 25 and 30, 2020 Why: Supplies to sell home in STL

The lady in the paint department could not have been anymore helpful. She convinced me to not go with my original paint choice and go with her suggestion. She was 100% right and I appreciate that kind of honesty. I may just make the extra drive to Kirkwood for now on.

With unemployment at record levels, it is shocking to find incompetent employees with attitudes such as Lowe's kirkwood front desk employee Melanie that I encountered this evening. Her inability to incorrectly ring up a simple 4 item return, with just the right dose of attitude and her questioning the completeness of my signature was something special. To further make my experience special, she informed me one of my items was not from Lowe's. I looked up the item once I made it back to my car to easily find it on their website. Shame on Lowe's for not training their employees properly. If they they are providing proper training, they need to do a better job of monitoring how lousy some of their employees are interacting with customers. Regardless, the attitude is uncalled for

yelp doesn't list the Lowe's at 2300 Maplewood Commons, Maplewood, so you get my zero star review. I came in to look for refrigerators. I purposely looked at ones "in stock" for quicker than 7-10 day delivery. I showed the sales gal what I wanted and she wrote it up. When asked about delivery, I said mine died and needed it ASAP. How about tomorrow (Wednesday) I asked? She said not available, so I asked for Thursday and it was booked, with no time frame but driver will call me. By 3 on Thursday, no one called. I called back and they said I was on the list for the following Thursday. HOW RIDICULOUS for an in stock refrigerator. I couldn't get back there fast enough to cancel my order and credit my charge card. PRETTY POOR AND NO MORE.

I placed an online order on Thursday April 9th for 5 brown plastic Adirondack chairs to be picked up at Lowe's in Kirkwood. I went to Lowe's last Saturday April 18th to look at the chairs I ordered. The chairs I ordered weren't the best quality and I even saw one that was cracked, so I decided I was going to cancel my order. I did find some better quality Adirondack chairs that were $10 more per chair, so I thought about doing an exchange and just paying the difference. I walked up to the counter where they handle returns and the guy at the counter told me he couldn't do an exchange. He told me he would have to cancel my order and I would have to purchase the chairs I want in a separate transaction. Fast forward to this Wednesday April 22. I noticed that my card which had been charged $101.47 for the chairs had not been refunded. I called Lowe's and spoke to a lady at the Pro Desk. I explained to her that I had placed an online order for 5 chairs but decided I no longer wanted them so I had them cancel my order last Saturday. I told her that I still hadn't been refunded and asked her when I can expect the money to be put back into my account. She then proceeded to tell me that your card won't get charged until you pick up your order. Clearly she wasn't listening because I just told her my card had been charged. So I said once again that my card was charged $101.47 and I asked her how many days it takes to be refunded. She told me to wait 2 more days and if I don't see the credit, I should call back. I have absolutely no faith in her or anyone else at Lowe's. This has been a huge inconvenience and could've been avoided. Now I'm forced to make an unnecessary trip to Lowe's to try and find someone who can help me get refunded. I was going to purchase 4 of the Adirondack chairs that you have for $30 which would've been a $130 sale, but after all the headache this has caused, I'm taking my business elsewhere.
