Mark and his staff are always pleasant and helpful with questions and small fixes, even though they know we own an EV and plug-in hybrid. Yesterday, I stopped by with a question about a slightly cut tire, and Scott helped me. He came out and looked over the tire, and told me it wouldn't be a problem and why. Even though he probably could have sold me a tire or two, he shot straight. I appreciate the way they do business. Thanks!

They are absolute sunshine here. They were very transparent about costs up front and so polite in all interactions. When they realized they over quoted and my brakes were actually still ok, they called to update me and see how I wanted to move forward. I was able to save some money. They have a customer for life.

I damaged my car and scrambled to find a shop that could take care of it. Wornall Automotive did above and beyond! They communicated every step, and I left knowing I was taken care of, rather than taken advantage of! So thankful to the team!!

On 10/20/23 my catalytic converter was stolen while parked at the night drop on their property. Beware they have no cameras and on a brightly lit corner of Gregory and Wornall my converter was stolen. They mentioned this has happened 14 times at their business yet they never discouraged me from using night drop, have no cameras, and acted completely unremorseful. Scott and Mark ran testing on the engine anyway and then called to notify me it appeared my catalytic converter was missing after the fact, citing they thought maybe I had dropped off a car missing a catalytic converter and were confused by my instructions. A simple call before performing the work would have cleared it up. My first experience at Wornall Automotive ended up with a missing catalytic converter, a bill for worthless engine inspection (which they did slightly discount), and a lack of any gracious customer service, especially the manager Mark who talked at me like I'm an idiot. I suppose I am for trusting their offer of a night drop option. You may want to discourage further customers from dropping at night, build a fence, add a camera or do something to protect your customers. Lost a customer fellas.

I came here to get a headlight fixed. Mark and his team were extremely kind and went the extra mile to serve me quickly. They were extremely transparent about what it could cost to fix - and it ended up being way less expensive than they originally estimated. I appreciated the element of “no surprises” as Mark explained was his goal with his customers. Highly recommend and will be returning myself!

I just moved to the area and this is the friendliest and most transparent auto shop I've been too. The owner and his team really go the extra mile with respect to customer service. Will definitely be returning for future car care.

We live 3 mins walk from the shop and have taken our vehicles there over the years to be inspected for MO tags. Not one of our vehicles passed inspection the first time at this shop, but usually is was small things like a lightbulb or wiper, which we fixed ourselves. This time though they said all 4 ball joints were bad on the truck my husband just purchased. The seller just replaced all of them 8,000 miles ago (we have the receipt) and the wording was still visible on the parts, but they “failed” inspection at Wornall Auto with a $2000 fix needed to pass according to them. Two mechanics later agreeing that absolutely nothing is wrong with the ball joints and a passed inspection from a different shop, I caution anyone from using this shop!! Not sure whether they are scamming people or just incompetent. But beware a local shop in a great neighborhood is being dishonest. Beyond upsetting! Proceed at your own risk.

The absolute best! Very easy to work with. We were able to drop off our car after hours and they kept us updated throughout the whole process. They did not nickel and dime us, and they were actually able to complete the work we needed under the initial quote, which I have never seen before in my life.Service: Exhaust

The team here was very helpful and worked quickly to repair a damaged tire of mine by the following day. I was treated with respect and consideration by each employee I talked with and they help me more than they know when I was in a pinch! Thank you!

Incredible service. Not only did they patch my tire (and not sell me on needing to purchase new), they saw I only lived a few minutes away and gave me a ride so that they could solve my issue same-day. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you!!Service: Tires

I have been using Wornall Automotive over the years. A bit pricey $$$, but they usually do good work and are close to my house.. Recently, I brought my car in to have a couple of sway bar bushings replaced. I dropped off the car in the morning and was called sometime after 12:00 noon. They told me that they broke off 3 of the mounting bolts (Rusted). They then told me they would have to take off the lower control arms to drill the bolts out and that was going to cost $250.00 per arm plus the cost to drill the holes for a total somewhere around $600.00 - $700.00 or replace the control arms and drill the holes out for around $1300.00 or just pick the car up. I asked them if they could just drill out the bolts from the top with a 90 degree drill. I was told easier said than done. I asked a couple of other mechanics and they both told me the same thing. They broke the bolts, they should fix them. Being mechanically inclined, I bought an angle drill and did the job myself. I don't think I will be using these guys in the future if that is the way they treat their customers.Service: Steering/Suspension

The guy who answers the phone is rude and doesn’t want to work there apparently or just not in the mood to repair cars today. Call somewhere else don’t waste your time

I brought my Subaru outback to Wornall Automotive with a starting issue. Based on my experience, it seemed to be an issue with the antitheft system, which I conveyed to them. They insisted on doing a full diagnosis and reported back to me that it was not the antitheft system that I actually needed a new starter and wanted to charge me around $650 total. This was more than I could afford, so I declined their service. They charged me $156 for the diagnosis, which I paid. I then hired a mobile mechanic, bought a starter and had my car towed to another lot. While waiting for the mobile mechanic to arrive, I turned the ignition and the car started just fine. My theory that it was the antitheft system proved to be correct and I did not need a starter. Either they were trying to rip me off or they were grossly incompetent and/or lazy.RE the reply bellow:There is no doubt that my starter will eventually go out. It could even happen today, even though it shows no signs of it. I’ve been driving my car daily, making deliveries in it and starting it repeatedly without any problems. I expressed to them my tight financial situation and my need to get on the road back to Texas. If they were aware that my car would start without having a new starter put in, they withheld this information from me. If they did not know, that suggests a different problem.
