“The techs are so helpful & knowledgeable. Super fast response times, & they are cost-conscious & transparent. They tell you costs up front and give you options. They recommend treatment options but don’t pressure you into treatments you can’t afford. Dr. Locke is the best. He really is the kindest, gentlest vet I’ve ever met. He sits on the ground & lets our small dogs approach him rather than trying to pick them up. Has been very helpful in managing our anxious pups. I’ve had positive experiences with Dr. Austen & Belew too. Not all vet clinics are created equal & Union Hill is by far the best of 3 we’ve used over the years.”

“Took our little kitty in this afternoon for a mysterious case of suddenly not eating/drinking. We were really happy that they got us in on such short notice as brand new patients. Everyone was very kind, the doctor was extremely gentle and thorough with the exam. She ran through all of the financial estimations and gave us options just in case we weren't able to afford certain things. The pricing turned out to be incredibly reasonable. Unfortunately our baby needs to go back in Friday for surgery but again we were pretty shocked at how fair the estimate was for that too. And i feel like Cali will be in good hands there.”

“Hands down the best place for your cat. Are they cheap? No, they're not. But let me tell you what they ARE: experts. They are cat experts. And they aren't in a hurry. You'll leave with information overload instead of being unsure or not completely understanding. They're amazing with cats, no matter how cranky or how sick. They are honest, straightforward and they're not trying to take your money with unnecessary tests and nonsense. They are compassionate and always go the extra mile to help you. If test results come in on a Saturday, they'll call you on a Saturday even though the office isn't open. They keep in touch with you to find out how things are going and make sure you understand anything you're not sure about.
They're great with routine care, too! It's not a 10 minute in and out visit, they will completely check out everything and tell you as they go any concerns they may have. They won't rush through things and shove you out the door, it will be the most thorough exam your cat has ever had. They're also just genuinely likable people who have a great passion and love for felines.”

We recently had to make the hardest decision, letting our oldest dog cross the rainbow bridge. Dr Sims and the team made the entire experience peaceful for us and our girl.
From the personal touches, to helping us know that it was the best decision for our dog. They were there when we needed them the most! They gave us time, space, but also just hung out and was there. A whirlwind of emotions and they were so warm and kind.

“I have been going to Arrowhead Vet for a couple of years. All of the staff, including Dr. Epstein, is top-tier. They are caring, personable, and consistently go above and beyond for my dog. I always leave there feeling taken care of, with my questions answered. On top of all of this, they are affordable compared to any other vet I have gone to. Highly recommend.
Also, they are a smaller operation (only 1 vet, more customer service-oriented, less corporate-feeling), if that is appealing to you.”

Cole really made this experience so much easier and I appreciate him more than he can know. They squeezed me in and that meant I had to do a drop off. When I got the call that everything was okay Doctor Marion was compassionate, informative, and reassuring. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at the vet. They worked within my budget and really put my pet and I to ease. I will absolutely be coming back to this location.”

“I tell e.one about this place. They make having a pet affordable w the cost of shots less then half the price of a regular vet office. They are fast & friendly w a very effective way of processing their appointments w an easy to use website to schedule your appointment easily & they send out reminders every year when your pet is due for shots. They also have cat & dog food available for free for those who r in need as well as supplies like bowls, leashes, collars, cages even s.times.Great resource if u have pets!!”

“We've been going to northland animal hospital since 2020 but needed a prescription filled for my 14 year old dog and when I called them to check the status was told they no longer have a vet on staff. They suggested I contact Barry Road Animal Hospital. I called Saturday morning and they squeezed me in that day so our prescription didn't lapse. Starting with the phone call, Melissa was very kind and helpful. Dr. Ruiz gave my dog the most thorough exam my dog has ever received and listened to all our concerns regarding our aging dog. Her approach was very methodical and her treatment plan was very well thought out. Because we were changing vets, the exam was complimentary. I wasn't expecting that and feel that she went above and beyond a typical checkup. I would've happily paid for the exam and additional personal care, but left only paying for medications. I don't know what's going on with northland animal hospital, but I'm grateful that I've found Barry Road AH. We've found a new vet for our dog and any future pets. I can't thank Melissa, Dr. Ruiz, the vet assistant, and the other vet that was there enough for helping us during the uncertainty occurring at our previous clinic.”

“Very friendly, accommodating and thorough.They groomed my medium sized ham (cat) and instead of shaving him outright which would have been easiest and quickest, they took the time to brush him out and you can tell he feels like a million bucks now that he’s not matted anymore. That meant a lot to me and I’m sure to the ham-kitty.I also brought in some dogs I found wandering the roads and they scanned them all for chips which was awesome.”

“Coco is my CockaPoo dog. The Vets and nurses at the Banfield Parkway location are amazingly kind, gentle, loving with Coco. Additionally, they explain her diagnosis or treatment or exam results very well, in a way I understand. I have never, in 2+ years, felt like Coco was just a number. She is treated very well.

It was very simple to drop off my pet to get neutered, then pick him up in the afternoon. He was microchipped and they provided medicine with clear instructions.”
