Seems to be very helpful and knowledgeable about the situation, but zero price negotiation. That caught me a little off guard.

I have had the pleasure of renting from the northland location and the south location. Both offices are filled with friendly, professional people. They are awesome and the wheelchair vans are super nice, clean and run great. I just wish I had enough money to buy one instead of rent!

Stay clear of this place. We took our 2006 Braun Entervan to the Lenexa, KS location, to see if they'd be interested in purchasing it. They didn't seem very interested and finally offered us $3K for it. It was an insulting offer since my parents had purchased it a little over 2 years ago for $16K with motorized wheelchair ramp. The appraiser used minor issues to justify the low-ball offer. Thankfully, we were able to get almost 4x their offer at Mobility Works. While I know dealerships won't pay as much as a private buyer because they need profit when marking up a vehicle for sale, I think they thought they could take advantage of an elderly lady and make a fast windfall.

The VA sent us to United Access for our disability accessible van and the employees at United Access were incredible. We worked with Steven to get our first van and when we had any issues they got us in and out almost immediately. When it was time to trade our van in they worked with us to get us something we could afford and all their vehicles are inspected and reliable. We recommend United Access to anyone who needs a handicap accessible vehicle.

They gave us a new "normal" - we can get out for things like dinner, concerts, haircuts.

While traveling through KC, my friend's ramp broke in the open position. We called United Access at 8pm on a Saturday, and despite not being customers, they sent us Darren to fix it - he drove out a half hour each way, and within minutes got the ramp workable enough so we could retract it. Excellent, friendly and expert service.

They are the only dealer in town, so they run the show. If you are handicapped and want to get around, you know that Uber and Taxi's are not available for transportation, so quality and repairs becomes vital. Our adaptive van had a gear shift belt snap at 17,000 miles and they blamed Toyota for the breakage, insisting they cover the expensive flaw. Toyota refused, siting the adaptation as the reason for the flaw. We had a third party, a trusted mechanic, call and explain to United Access that was a result of the adaptation, how it was shredded, and amazed it hadn't happened earlier, and they still refused to pay for the very expensive fix which was, technically, under warranty (under both companies, really). AGAIN, IF YOU ARE HANDICAPPED, you do not have the luxury to wait it out or fight because every day is difficult and one day you cannot leave the house. Super disappointed that a clear result of the adaptation, and the extra money we spent for a warranty means nothing. No apologies, just outrage from the company who lacked basic customer service. Again, very disappointed in the lack of empathy in honoring the warranty.

Predatory dealer to families with severe medical conditions and needs.. They sell vans with the selling point of purchasing back in the future if the van is no longer needed. In my experience, they sold my family member a van for an ALS patient. He passed away after 4 months. Upon returning the van to sell it back, they offered 60% of the purchase price (the van had only been used for 1 tank of gas in the 4 months to drive him to doctors appointments). They finally offered 65% which is still ridiculous! Upon talking to the salesman, he wouldn't look my sister in the face. He said "I just expected him to live longer.." Families have no choice but to purchase vans for assisting families members with series medical conditions. This company is horribly shameful! Granted they need to make money as well.. but this is ridiculous.! Beware future buyers!!!
