Great, safe location. Our room was very spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The best part was the view from our room - as you can see. Great breakfast buffet selection. 10 minute walk from the Village at Briarcliff where you can window shop or grab a delicious bite to eat.

Stayed at this location for three weeks for a work trip. Room was clean. King size bed was comfortable. Nice view of the city. The fire pits out back were nice to relax by. My only complaints were after almost 2 weeks I had to approach the front desk about house keeping. There had been no housekeeping coming to my room. I needed towels, new sheets, and the trash taken out. They came the next day, and I saw that the bed was made. But they didn't change the sheets. I didn't use the kitchen except for one fork, which I rinsed after using but left in the sink. The next morning the sink was full of ants. All over the counter and sink. Other than that, the room was nice and the staff was helpful. I did enjoy the biscuits and gravy in the morning.

Pretty upset. Hotel charged me an additional $250 for a night I wasn’t even there. And after getting it fixed they can’t even get the right amount back into my account.

My stay here was fantastic! They were able to accommodate every request I had. The staff was so friendly. The location was great. Our room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was gorgeous, though the shower situation was weird. It has a half glass door which means water gets EVERYWHERE on the bathroom floor. But everything else was phenomenal. Breakfast is delicious, the fire pit was really cool and they even have a grill! I can't wait to stay here again.

The positives - the outside seems very clean. The lobby is impressive, super clean, and almost kind of fancy, to be honest. Gave me hope for the rooms, that's for sure!Dog friendly, but the fee is hefty if you're just the average earning human. I can see why, though.More elevator options would be convenient, but it is what it is, there's elevators in the main lobby if needed. The elevators were nice and clean. The hallways were nice and clean as well, and the doors were very cute! I mean, that may be subjective, haha...The rooms are SUPER nice. At least ours was. Practically a full kitchen with all of our needs met. We ordered food in for dinner and ended up needing some silverware... boom in the drawer.Very clean. Very modern. The bathroom was immaculate, and the shower looked really cool. The negatives - starting with the bathroom, while the shower is super neat, it is flawed. It is a walk-in shower with a half glass wall, and the water tends to splash out and gets the floor all wet. And the water pressure is not great, sadly. But hey, I've had worse showers. The other amenities have made up for it.They *really* said to heck with your b-hole on the toilet paper option. I'd rather have sand paper. At least it wouldn't come apart in shreds when you try to get it unstuck from itself. -50 out of 10 on the toilet paper, Marriott. They give you full-size shampoo/conditioner/body wash, which is great for anyone who has unproblematic skin! I couldn't get the bottles off of the wall to read what the ingredients were, so if you have skin issues, bring your own shower stuff. We could hear the people above us stomping around, which made our dogs bark a lot. We are traveling with a new rescue who hasnt quite been trained on manners, so she's a noisy girl, so we apologise to anyone who could hear her... That is something to think about for next time.Overall, I'd stay here again

Towneplace Suite By Marriott should be rated at least a 4-star hotel not a 2-star. I stayed here on August 12, 2023 and everything was clean and comfortable. The Kansas City Skyline view from the King Suite was beautiful. It also provided me a comfortable workspace to take my LSAT remote test. I had stopped staying at hotels for a long time because most were not clean or updated, too loud, or uncomfortable. The Towneplace Suites at Marriott in Briarcliff is set upon a hill overlooking the Briarcliff Village and the Kansas City Skyline. They provide a beautiful place that you can invite guests to enjoy their patio with safe propane glass firepits and had Weber grills throughout. Great for entertainment. When night comes you can sit outside on the patio and enjoy contemporary glass tiki torches, see the city lights, and relax with a glass of wine next to their firepits. Location is definitely a bonus you feel like a VIP. The night clerk was very accomodating and helpful to let me check in early after having to reserve a workspace for the following day so that I could take a remote test. The suite provided a comfortable office space with a comfortable office chair. The only issue I had was with the ants on the third floor. Do not leave food out, this needs to be treated. Other than that, the continental breakfast was fresh and good and the pool was clean. I will be staying at a Marriott Bonvoy in Chicago O'Hare in the coming weeks. I would recommend this for future patrons that need a place to work remotely. There are lots of boutiques and spas and restaurants with great food a block away in Briarcliff. It set back from the city and from the rural areas of Kansas City MO but gives a feeling of both rural with city views. Great location. I would stay here again.

Welcoming and clean. This hotel looks great on approach and does not disappoint. It is very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The women working at breakfast each morning were most helpful and so fun to talk with. Kudos to them! There are lots of other options nearby but know this hotel is for sure a great place to stay.

Starting this by saying we are not people who have ever felt the need to leave a negative review, but this was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve had in some time. We booked a one bedroom suite so that we could have a separate space for our toddler to sleep. We called just prior to the listed check in time to see if they happened to have our room ready 20 minutes early. They sounded panicked and said they could probably get a room clean in 30 minutes or so. We took our time and showed up at the hotel at the listed check in time and still ended up having to wait in the lobby (with two babies) for over an hour. When we finally got to our room, we discovered that they had placed us in the wrong type of room. We notified them immediately and expected it was just an in-time accident they would fix. Turns out, they booked over our reservation and downgraded us to a different room earlier that day without asking us or even notifying us at any point in the process. We asked them to please fix it however they were able to, as the only reason we booked a hotel at all was to have separate sleeping spaces. They said the best they could do was to book us an entirely separate room — that we would have to pay full price for. When we said we would like to get a refund and leave, they said we’d have to call on that ourselves. When you spend nearly $300/night on a nice hotel for your family to stay in after traveling long hours (again, with two babies), you expect said nice hotel to be ready, as reserved, when they say it will be. And if it’s not, because of error on their part, you expect them to take appropriate action to fix those errors. We were nothing but kind and pleasant through the whole ordeal, but we’re treated horribly. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

We had a family event here one evening a few days ago, the space was nice, accommodating and pretty spacious, nice decor, everything went well. I haven't spent a night here, so I can't talk about the rooms, but they did Great job. Thank you for your hospitality.

We stayed this past weekend. The room was gorgeous and the view of the city was beautiful! The few down sides of the room is that there was ants EVERYWHERE in our room, the hot tub was still out of order and by reading other reviews it sounds like they aren't ever gonna fix it. Also people sitting on the patio down stairs around midnight were crazy loud. The walls are super thin and you can hear people walking the halls, outside and in the room next to us. All though it's a beautiful location, very comfy beds and the staff are all super sweet! Not sure we will stay again.

Great rooms, friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet, and plenty of grassy space for our dogs. It was a nice location and we felt safe. We will definitely stay here in the future.

Really nice rooms that are clean and quiet. I have stayed here multiple times with no issues.Walkability: Not a terribly walkable area. There are shops and restaurants across the street that you could walk to.

What a great hotel! Everything was perfect! My family and I came in from out of state for the NFL draft and had the best time. From the minute we got to the hotel, everyone was very kind and welcoming. The room was perfect for us. It was super clean. As far as location, we loved that too. The view of the skyline was really nice. Everything we wanted to do and see was a short drive from where we stayed. Perfect! Not only was the staff caring and attentive, they were all very knowledgeable about the area. This helped me out tremendously in navigating such a massive event. Their suggestions from dining to parking were spot on. One employee in particular really genuinely was excited to see us come back to the hotel each day to check in on our adventures. MAC was always pumped to see us and hear about how our time in the city was going. And I really enjoyed sharing my stories with him. I wish I could rate this hotel higher than 5 stars. Everything was top notch. The location, rooms, and most importantly the service. 10/10 no questions! Would gladly stay here again.

We have been staying at this hotel for 3 months, due to a fire at our home. The hospitality here has been exemplary! The staff has been so gracious and kind during our whole stay. They were always there when we needed something. Rachel was so caring in making sure that our stay was great. I highly recommend this hotel if you are ever in the area. It is only 10 minutes from downtown, and 20 minutes from KCI.
