Based on my experience - it was simple, good, clean food. The atmosphere is light and airy and the staff are helpful and genuine. Succotash was a joy to meet at.

Beth Barden left her former garage-style space in the City Market. Now, happily ensconced in her East Side digs, she's welcoming all to her still-creative, still-funky (but larger and airier) location. The overall vibe is the same: shabby chic meets your grandmother's kitchen, with a touch of glitz from mirrored tables, overstuffed couches and an extra-extravagant bar filled with curiosities. The food is as imaginative as the space, with items such as monstrous pear-pecan pancakes with smoky bacon; a BLT fattened up with a fried egg; and an array of salads loaded with toppings. Plus, the always-popular chicken salad, smoky salmon and hot, bubbly tomato bisque are also available. An eight-layer cake, in psychedelic colors, is big enough for three. Wash it down with cold milk or a cup of sturdy Café du Monde coffee.
