I reserved a car for 2 days in June. The reservations (800 number customer service) made a mistake on my reservation three times and I wound up spending over an hour trying to rent a car. I was given a voucher for my time and trouble. The corporation decided to negate my voucher and I was charged with two separate charges for almost twice the amount agreed upon. This company has a terrible habit of this type of thing and I am just another victim. Go somewhere else- ANYWHERE ELSE!

Friendly staff, but the car wasn't cleaned before it was turned around. And the "change oil" notification kept coming on while we had the car.

It was an easy pick up and drop off experience. I booked a midsize sedan for a few days and I'm President's Circle so they let me choose any sedan out on the lot which there was a whopping 2 to choose from. I went with the Ford Fusion over the Hyundai and it was pretty easy to drive and the fuel economy was decent. The overall condition of the car was good but the interior was definitely not cleaned as I found the previous customers boarding pass and rental agreement receipt by the seat. There was also no floor mats for some reason but the car had Apple CarPlay and everything was easy to setup and get going. There was a full tank of gas and I was sure to return it the way. The drop off process was seamless. The lady asked me to park, she checked the gas level and milage and told me to be on my way. I was suppose to get a receipt emailed to me but they email they sent be lead to a broken link. Overall, the experience was not bad but it could have been better.

Absolute trash company. Will never in my life make a reservation through this company, and will advise anyone I meet to seek alternatives. Made a reservation for $180, no where did they show the full amount until it was game time to rent the car and ended up being over $360. Literally double the amount on the reservation. No where did they highlight the fact it needs to be a credit card, and not a debit. And to top it off, grotesquely rude employees who were more concerned with talking about their lunch with their coworkers than they were the present task at hand. I wish evil upon no one.. However, I hope the staff members I dealt with have their cars break down with dead phones and unable to call for help. As I write this review from the airport and stranded. Never rent from this company. This is my personal experience, yet other experiences indicate it’s worse than mine, as proven in a national lawsuit in which Hertz commonly calls the cops on their customers to report their cars stolen the moment a car is late for checkout. Trash company. Enterprise, Avis, Budget, Turo, many other options out there.. Choose those!!

Overall experience wouldn’t have been so bad but my license is very possibly in the car, and every time I try to fall (as I’m about to miss my flight and get there) their phone is so choppy I can’t understand anything they are saying. I called other numbers and it is clearly their phone. I’ll have to fly without my license (which was a headache) please get phones that work for customers to call

Having one person staffed on a Saturday morning is absolutely appalling. Can’t get ahold of anyone as phones are not being answered. Hertz you can do better by your employees and customers.
