I can’t recommend Connie at Primp enough! VERY impressed! I found them online and decided to give it a go based on reviews. I’m one of those stalker social media types so I was a little hesitant since I couldn’t see many pictures online etc., but WOW she did such an amazing job and the salon is beyond adorable, it was super clean (they are following very strict CDC recs with Covid) and the prices are unmatched- trust me! I had a full set of highlights with foil. If you’re blonde- GO TO CONNIE!

All the stylists in the salon do fantastic work. Joe has a gift for color I have never found anywhere else. It looks natural and feels fantastic.

Alicyn gives the best haircuts! And she is so personable and nice to talk to. She really listens to my preferences, and my haircut was better than the picture I showed her. This place just generally has a really great vibe, and I'm happy to be a customer.

Having gone to Bumble & Bumble salons in other cities, I knew I wanted a place in KC that used B&B's luxuriously awesome, animal-friendly products. So, I looked on B&B's website for an authorized salon, and found primp. Joe, owner and stylist at primp, knows his craft. Before I get to the shampoo, Joe has taken the time to listen to what I want and like. Joe understands that while he knows hair, *I* am the expert on *my* hair. So, I typically give Joe the basic idea and let him work his magic after that. He's more than happy to make suggestions as to what might work for me, and he hasn't been wrong yet. And yes, the scalp massage he gives during the beginning shampoo is an instant stress melter.

I'm one of those really hard-to-please customers. Especially when it comes to hair. With that being said, I'm giving Primp 3 stars. My experience wasn't mind-blowing, but I can't really complain. I was a walk-in, so I loved the fact that I was able to be seen right away. Joe was my stylist, and he did a pretty good job with a basic cut/color. He gave me lots of tips on how to manage my hair, was easy enough to talk to, and was very nice. The atmosphere was pretty relaxed, and the price wasn't ridiculously high. I'm very tempted to bump this rating up to a 4-star for the sheer fact that Joe gave the MOST amazing scalp-massage during the shampoo. I think I touched heaven at one point.

This place is is really nice! It is super cute, comfy, and a perfect place to have yourself pampered. Joe is AMAZING. He is great hair, including color, he's fun to talk to, he has interesting stories, is sweet, caring and has great hours. I love this guy! This is a great location, easy to find, but is located on a one way street so be prepared for that.

I've followed one of the owners, Alicyn, from two previous locations to this spot, her own salon. I am glad to see them succeeding - great haircuts, and I will agree with the previous reviewer, parking can be a challenge at times. If your appointment is close to lunchtime, just arrive early. (Rudy's is on the next block & street parking fills up.) Even so, I've never had to walk more than a block. I love letting her just do what she wants with my hair - I always love it more than when I try to explain some vision I'm having. :)
