I have been going here since I have lived close by for 5 years. They have always been kind to us and I like that they're open late and on holidays. The little deli section with food is delicious and I like that they carry dark beer. Some other area markets don't. Paul's is great!

Literally the rudest encounter I've had at a store since I've moved to kansas city. Not only are they extremely rude and short with you in person, but when I called to inquire about a pizza all I got was "we don't give prices over the phone" CLICK! they hung up in my face! I will never spend my money there again I'd much rather go somewhere where they treat you with courtesy and kindness.

First time I went in Paul’s I was sent next door to the smoke shop for American Soirit tobacco, then sent back to Paul’s for the packs. This was corrected by a manager with a apology in gratitude for shopping there. On June 21, 2023 I go in again and I given an attitude by the cashier about the debt machine instructions. He seem more into sticking the selves then cashier customers out. I then call the manager after an verbal interactions with the cashier and he just chalks it up to the cashier was trying to explain the debt machine. It wasn’t the debt instructions that was an issue, it was the cashier and the managers attitude. I told the manager the I guess it’s an stores internal issue and said I won’t shop there anymore but we will see. I really wanted to support a local business. It may be that the management that exerts the lack of customer relations on the to employees that then they put onto the employees. I would suggest a little more emphasis on customer hospitality.I did like the feel of a deli when I would walk in as it reminded me of deli’s where I grew up. I will look more at my reaction back to the rudeness. Everyone has days where they may not be feeling well or rushed. We must learn from everyone, they have messages of compassion to deliver.

Racist they told an employee (Jasmine) that they were gonna have her start working in the back of the store so they can put a more attractive girl with lighter skin at the front smh which is crazy to me if you needed more attractive people it would make sense to let go of the old men and employ younger more attractive people instead of moving the young attractive black girl to the back for an older woman of lighter skin and different ethnicity

Had many good experiences here but not when the 50 something Italian guy is working. Rude to me and other employees in front of a store full of ppl. Very not cool. I don't have a car anymore and it's within walking distance & I don't even go anymore, he was that rude. Everything really ridiculously overpriced anyway.
