I’ve been to a lot of museums in the world. This one was pretty good. I enjoyed coming to the top of the tower and seeing the city. The videos were Interesting to watch. They have a lot of pieces.

We made a stop in Kansas City on our way from Minnesota to Colorado primarily so we could come to this museum. The grounds and museum itself are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic to discuss topics or answer questions.
Other reviews mentioned that it could take a long time to go through the museum so we budgeted the better part of a day, but it only took our family of four about 2 hours to tour the museum and go to the top of the tower. We didn't read EVERYTHING on display and we went during off-peak season on a Sunday right away when they opened, so they weren't very busy. A must see if you're in the area.

Great experience and this is a museum you would visit again as you can not finish exhibits in one day, so I ended up getting the pass ?
The museum is recognized nationally in the us as one of the best to document world war 1
There is a tower access that I recommend adding to the ticket as it was cool to have that view in Kansas City from top. I will visit again ISA

Impressive collection of objects related to the entire WWI and not only to the American army, but to all armies.
It is also worth taking some photos at the viewpoint with the downtown in the background.

Inspiring and educational all at once. A great experience for all knowledge levels of the war. Unbelievable artifact collection and some next generation attractions as well (Virtual Reality and Sound Booths that put you in the action and era). A must visit.

A must visit when in Kansas City. This is a beautiful, classic memorial that rivals any of those in Washington DC. It is well maintained and in perfect condition with no wear and tear visible. As pristine as the day it opened. It has some art deco type fell. Just amazing experience walking around the upper plaza with spectacular views looking north to Union station and downtown KC.

A remarkable experience. Really eye opening. You will learn so many things you never even considered. This was a very confusing event and this museum clarifies so much. Everyone should visit this place many times.

Lady at front desk could see that I am using a cane yet still sold me a ticket to go up in the tower and DID NOT tell me I basically would pay for a ride up and then back down a elevator. She told us there was an elevator but as a worker she should have known there would be 45 steps to the top of building to. Rest of museum was good just that 1 issue that really disappointed me. Also check your hot suaces in cafe 2 tables had suace that expired last month on the 16th.

There is parking at the entrance of the museum. You can buy a ticket for the museum or a combination with a temporary exhibition and/or visit to the tower. The introductory film explains how the economic, social and colonial situation led to the Great War. There are dioramas where you can see how the soldiers of both camps lived in the trenches.

This is an incredible, well kept, beautifully polished museum rich with information, interactive exhibits, and an endless supply of WW1 artifacts. This is absolutely a must see for any enthusiast, or hardcore history buff.

My son and I are from Ohio. We wanted to do a little something different for vacation this year. (There's a lot of background information on the reason why we came to Kansas City but that doesn't matter right now. All I will say it was a stress test for me to go out further.) We were checking places that we wanted to go in Kansas City in the World War I Museum was one of them. A lot of history is here and we're both glad that we were able to make it here. We had a great time here and in Kansas City.
