Fun shop and do not sleep on their body products. The soaps smell wonderful (Touchdown and Orange/Mint are my faves) and are great for my sensitive skin. And cannot live without the shampoo bars!

Friendly staff and ownership. Great mid-century themed gifts,decor, and tshirts, many from local artisans and crafters. And their own Bear Soap Company line of soaps and body and beard products for men and women.

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon when I decided to stop in at this shop. Luckily the parking lot next to the building had plenty of parking space. Upon entering the shop, you can smell the wonderful fragrance. They tell me the Bear Soap Company is located inside the shop and makes their soap there. They have lots of gift-able items, from candles, soaps, cards, jewelries and more. Fun to browse through. Prices are reasonable for most items. The salesperson working that day was very nice.

Great place! Great variety of things to choose from with a lot of them being locally made. The Soap is made right there in house! I was able to pick up a Christmas gift for one of those "hard to buy" people! Merchandise is reasonably priced for the most part. The woman (Maggie) cheerfully greeted me as soon as I walked in the door and asked me if I needed any help. She also checked in with me throughout my time there to make sure I was still doing okay. Parking is super tricky because it is in Westport, so it's difficult. I had to circle the area 2-3 times to find a place to park. Also the store is near a bus stop, so a lot of people just hang out not too far from the store. Only thing I would recommend for the store is to carry some "larger" sizes in the T-Shirts. Larger as in 2-3XL. I do recommend the place, it's a cool store!!

Very cute store! They support local businesses, make their own soaps, and have a cute selection of fun gifts and treats for yourself. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with any questions.

Honestly this is hands down one of the cutest small shops around the area. I loved the space and all the products they have for sell which all are affordable, not too pricey. So much selection from bar soaps, to reusable bags, KC themed gifts and even clothing. I purchased a Baggu reusable bag and the person who helped me was so kind and welcoming. I know I will be returning!

I needed a Kansas City themed gift last minute and couldn't decide between a couple of places that I could make it to during my lunch break. I chose this shop because of the convenient parking. I'm sorry I don't recall the helpful person's name who gave me a lot of ideas. I finally opted for a KC hat, a pair of socks and a deck of cards. The advice I appreciate the most was when I reached for a red ball cap she mentioned that the gray color seems most popular with male shoppers and that ended up being great advice.

This is such a cool little shop! I love coming here for fun and unique gifts! I love that this business supports local artists and groups within the community. I love that there always seems to be new things rotating in with clever ideas for a various crowd.

I stopped in here recently as they graciously hosted an event I wanted to attend and oh my word! The selection of locally made products and gifts was unmatched! I picked up a love kc tea towel and admired the fun socks and locally made bath bombs and shower fizzies! I will definitely be back for more!

What an adorable and fun shop!! So many things to check out and purchase for everyone on your list. I wish I had more time to browse, so I plan to go back this weekend so I can take my time checking everything out! I love the hilarious mugs and plan to buy some sarcastic ones for Christmas gifts! I love the steam shower bomb and can't wait to try it out today. Highly encourage everyone to check this shop out!

I found my new favorite store in KC! I visited with a friend and between the two of us we easily could've bought one of everything in the store! Everything is so cute and makes perfect gifts for everyone on my list. The more we looked around the more we found and we ended up spending an hour there discovering more things. I highly recommend Mid Coast Modern to EVERYONE!!!!

Wonderful place. Last review from 2017 was 4 stars but I am bumping it up to 5. I really like the selection and additions they made since my last visit. I bought a few things for some girlfriends. Very unique stuff and affordable. Many of their items have a Urban Outfitters vibe only you'r enot paying $39 for a mug. The gal that was there was super friendly and inviting. Can't wait to return and buy more goodies.
