Vickie is so helpful and has gone above and beyond to help us find the antique doors that matches our historic Longview Farmhouses we’ve been restoring! We’ll be back for more decor later!

My favorite place to shop. I may not always find something to buy but the inventory rotates so it makes it worth the trip.

LONG BUT WORTH THE READNestled in the heart of Kansas City's historical West Bottoms, you'll find a gem that's as rich in character as the neighborhood it resides in - Martin's Memories. This four-story warehouse of vintage treasures and modern creativity is not simply a store, but a journey, one that will take you back in time, while simultaneously inspiring you with fresh ideas. As you step through the door, you are greeted by an array of vintage furniture, each piece telling a story of a bygone era. The scent of aged wood and the patina of time-worn finishes transport you to a time of simplicity and charm. As you make your way towards the center of the first floor, you will discover a nostalgic candy shop ran by the sweetest Nana B. She sells a variety of old fashioned candy, soda, and every flavor of taffy you can think of. The clothing section, filled with handpicked vintage attire, is a fashion lover's dream come true, offering a unique blend of style and nostalgia. But Martin’s Memories is not just about the past. It’s a vibrant hub for local Kansas City artists and small businesses. The store is also a treasure chest of repurposed pieces and handmade gifts, each item breathing new life into the old, showcasing the ingenuity of local crafters.Located at the corner of W. 12th St. and Hickory St. inside a building that has stood since the 1800s, the store is an architectural marvel in itself. The charm of the historic building adds an extra layer of allure to your shopping journey, making it a great place to spend an afternoon, immersed in the beauty of the past and the creativity of the present. One of the highlights of Martin's Memories is the opportunity to become part of this vibrant community. The store offers a place to those who are looking to sell their vintage finds and handmade goods, creating a platform for both budding and established entrepreneurs to reach a wider audience. The heart and soul of Martin's Memories is Vickie, the owner. Her heart of gold shines through in the way she runs the store. Welcoming, accommodating, and passionate about her work, she has created a space that is more than just a store - it's a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the beauty of the past and the creativity of the present. In conclusion, Martin's Memories is not just a place - it's an experience. A trip to this store is like embarking on a treasure hunt; you never know what you might find, but you can be sure it will be something special. Whether you're a vintage enthusiast or someone looking for a unique shopping experience, Martin's Memories is a must-visit.

Wonderful location and a local staple of the Westbottoms Antique Market! We took sooooo many pieces home in the last few years and we truly treasure our findings! Staff is great and can work the first Friday crowds like seasoned professionals!

SELLERS AND CONSIGNERS BEWARE!Recently had a terrible experience here with Vickie….She invited me to sell items at her store and I had my items there for nearly 6 months…ZERO COMMUNICATION with her and when she did communicate that I had to come get my items she informed me she put them in storage nearly 2 months prior and then wanted to charge me storage fees!Which was NEVER communicated to me that she would just randomly decide to put my things in storage or that when she randomly decided to do this she would charge me a $24 a day storage fee…It’s just very bad business on her part…If you tried to reach out and communicated prior that’s one thing…But to put my things in storage and then randomly tell me about it two months later and then charge me storage fees which was never communicated to me prior to doing so it’s just not good business…She initially comes off as a sweet person but I’ve seen her interactions with me and others and she’s very short and makes snide comments to me and others and is just not someone I would choose to do business with…SO SELLERS BEWARE!
