After 14 years with this company, my kid and I are deeply disappointed with how they treat their staff. A primary dance instructor was terminated with no notice and right before the Spring 2023 performance rehearsals. Many of the students who have been dancing under her for years are heartbroken and it seems my teen has been put to the task of teaching these kids with no compensation. Horrendous business practice! Please help me edit this post by making one thing right, KCYA.

The place seems great with lots of room for parents to sit while kids dance. I've also been impressed with their covid precautions.

My daughter has participated in summer camps and private music lessons here. Both have been fantastic. Great teaching staff and lively, positive vibe.

My 7-year-old has been taking dance classes here since she was 2 1/2. We absolutely love the teaching artists, staff, and community. The teachers focus on training, not competition. All of the dancers wear costumes that are age-aporopriate and truly look like the young ladies and gentlemen they are in stage. The community is diverse and feels like a family. I can't say enough about how much our family loves KCYA!

KCYA offers excellent programming to an array of students of various levels. Children who are just entering the performing arts for fun or those students interested in serious studies are all welcome in the various classes. Here you will find diversity among the kids of different socio/economic backgrounds, racial heritage and body types. It is an immensely positive place where kids can learn to perform and to appreciate the arts.

My daughter attended camp here for the first time. She loved every day of it. It was a half day camp for two weeks and the performance at the end was really great. I wasn't sure they would pull off something good with so little time but it was better than I could imagine. They really are professional here. Will be back for sure.
