There was a little hic up at the beginning g of times they were open but after that everything was great. Everyone was very nice and got a month free but also the rates were cheaper than any place else I checked. Unit was clean.

Storage Mart took over this location about two years ago I think. My rent was $140/mo before they took over. They raised it to $240/mo since then. $329 for a month if you are late paying. I moved out Sept 30 and they required me to put a lock on my unit before they would take their lock off and I could move out my belongings. I moved out all but two pieces of furniture and left the lock on out of habit. Location manager called next biz day and said I need to remove the lock. I gave him permission to remove it and then he said 'I am going to have to charge you to remove those two pieces of furniture'. How did he know there was furniture in there if he had not removed the lock? They are still charging me for the unit, claiming the lock is still on the unit. The lock they required me to put on the unit before they would remove their lock allowing me to move my belongings out. I am a trucker. I couldnt go back and take the lock off immedietely. So they are taking advantage of my absence from Kansas City moving Americas freight and charging me for the unit until I remove the lock.
UPDATE:
Sent a friend over to remove the lock so I dont get charged another month but the gate code no longer works and I just got a notice that my account is past due. Also have lien fees on my account for liens that may not have been filed.
