I don’t generally write reviews. I know that working with the public can be difficult. My parents are also healthcare workers, so I also understand that pharmacies are bound by regulations that tie their hands & cause many things that irk their customers. That is why, despite numerous negative experiences at this pharmacy, I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt —but today confirmed for me that they have serious service issues.
If you used the app to refill, you should have called. If you called, then you should have called sooner, because your Rx is out of stock. If you call well ahead of time & the Rx is in stock, then your doctor said it couldn’t be refilled until tomorrow, & “you should take it up with them! They shouldn’t be writing it like that!” If you then have your doctor paged, after hours, & they confirm that the pharmacy has not one, but *two* refills available, & you go home to grab your newly empty HyVee Rx bottle stating, clearly, “no refills until TODAY” —well, it will be ready in 30 minutes. Just don’t expect an apology, or to have the pharmacist even look at you after gaslighting you for 2 hours.
The techs are always lovely —I feel deeply sorry for them. Working in such a poorly managed pharmacy, with narcissistic management/pharmacists… I’m sure they get yelled at a lot. They clearly aren’t the issue.
HyVee, you should be ashamed.

If I could put zero stars I would. I’ve been dealing with this pharmacy for years out of desperation of convenience with having to visit multiple times monthly for my son. Due to his chronic conditions at only eight years young. This pharmacy has been consistent throughout the years of being terribly rude, unorganized and disrespectful to be personally several time. Some of the things that have been said to me or the excuses that have been made are unruly but after seeing this review list, I’m not the only one. I wish it made me feel better. I just drove 40 minutes round-trip to pick up a medication For my son that I’ve been waiting for since Tuesday of this last week. I had to outsource from a different pharmacy just to make sure that he could have his best care. After my little road trip I just showed up here back at Hy-Vee pharmacy to pick up his other medication which they did have in stock luckily. The tech stated that they got the shipment of the medication that I needed this morning at 11 not a single update nothing. I promise I’m going to spend as much time as I need to call every one of his specialty groups to have every single one of his medication’s transferred to a different pharmacy. I work in healthcare myself, and would never treat my job as they do there. It’s very obvious none of them have ever had to deal with complex situations daily as I and my son have to just to live a normal life. Highly do not recommend

If you like waiting in line, this is the place for you. Waited 20 minutes with only 2 people ahead of me and listened to them ask insurance questions. That is not what the pickup line is for. That should already be done before you get in line and management should be making sure the line is moving.

This has to be this bad bc of horrible management. I’ve had every bad experience a person can have at this place and it never gets better. I’m actually going to go to a different pharmacy bc it’s actually a joke in our family of how bad this pharmacy really is… this isn’t the techs, it’s the pharmacists too, they are incompetent.

I have not had any problems. They are always professional. These people deserve the best. They work harder that an army of ants. I don’t ever see anyone messing around. They look to be 110% all the time.

Attempt 1: Couldn't get my prescription filled because the order failed trying to use an insurance I was on 10 years ago.Attempt 2: Pharmacist didn't like the usage instructions so wouldn't fill without doctor clarificationAttempt 3: Order didn't fill because it was sent to their warehouse location.Attempt 4: Prescription Received. It took a week and 5 times of waiting in line to get 1 prescription.

Whoever they have answering the phones today at the pharmacy is rude and just plain lazy. You can obviously tell they don't like their job and should be fired. I'd give them zero stars if it was available

Absolutely love the floral department! My husband sent me flowers at work and not only was the flower arrangement stunning, it was delivered at the time he requested. And when shopping, you can't beat the "just because" selection either. $8 dozen roses that last for 2 weeks and are gorgeous!

Instead of ready to eat burgers, as the picture shows, these are raw patties that you get in the meat department. I went there expecting to have lunch and was told those burgers are sold in the meat department only. I sent a message to corporate about this and they replied that they forwarded to my local store. I have not heard back from the store yet and I'm curious how they will handle it. It sounds like bait and switch to me. Nowhere in the ad does it say these are raw patties

I have never had a pharmacy treat me so rudely. Cancels prescriptions without telling you why. They then proceed to have mix ups and can't keep there stories straight. I would recommend taking your business somewhere else.

Ben L at the sea food counter really helped my girlfriend and I with our shrimp needs. Guy knows his stuff, was friendly, and was enthusiastic to o help us make the right call for our dinner tonight. Really makes me happy to see someone with such knowledge and enthusiasm there to help guide costumers towards the purchase they want.

At least 50% higher than other stores. Cheapest dozen of large eggs is $5. At that price it's much better deal to shop at Aldis down the street or buy in bulk from Costco or Sam's.
