EDIT: Two weeks have passed since I wrote this. Not one reply from HyVee. Now I have to say I do not recommend this store. Yes, I still recommend HyVee store 1 on St. Clair for the time being for only one reason, one employee, which I will state at the end of this review. I am a HyVee Plus member who has had multiple problems with Aisles Online over the past year.. Have spoken with one female on the phone over the past several months about the problems who is often bordeline rude and seems like she does not want to help when there are problems with my order. She is the person who I am always transferred to when there is a problem. She always appears like my phone call is a bother to her rarely attempts to rectify the problem unless I push her and threaten to report to corporate. This review, however, is focusing on the more recent problem with Aisles Online. It was a few days ago when two items were not delivered with my order which I desperately needed that night. I often cannot get out to shop and depend on Aisles Online and delivery. So when this problem occurred I called the store SIX times from the hours of 6-7pm on Monday, December 19, 2022. I called the main number, 816-505-1000. There was no answer every single time I called. I literally let it ring 20 times each time. That in itself is unacceptable business practice. Out of desperation I finally called the 800# and even though your recording said not to call them if it was about Aisles Online to directly call the store instead, I had already been calling the store for an hour as I said above so it was a last ditch attempt to get help from your company. The woman at the 800# was kind, apologetic, and was more than willing to help me. First she tried calling the store. She also got no answer at your store number. She then called a department number and got through. She connected our call with a young female and stayed on the line while I told the young woman, your employee, that I needed the two items I paid for that were missing from my order. I also told her about calling the store and not getting an answer multiple times. Then the most disgusting thing happened. The young female employee lied to me. Since when do employees lie to customers? That is the worst solution to an already growing problem! I hope that is not standard operating procedure for HyVee! Your employee lied by saying she had called me and left a voice mail about my missing items. I replied that I had received no phone calls or voicemails. She insisted that she called, thus continung to lie! At this point I was ready to return my entire order and find another store to shop that night. She obviously heard the disgust and growing anger in my voice and said she would get the items to me. I told her I would not pay for delivery and since I am less than a mile away I expected my items immediately. She said okay. Then the BEST part of the experience happened! Your store sent Molly Brown to my home with my two items. She texted me first to let me know she was on her way. She was kind, apologetic, and polite. She spent a few minutes talking with me and encouraged me to not stop shopping at your store, to please give the store just one more chance, even though I have had multiple problems in the past year. She was respectful, friendly, kind, professional, and polite; everything a long time paying customer wants. See, I have been shopping at your store for many years, ever since it opened. I was at the Grand Opening. I have referred many people to your store to shop over the years. So, I am asking you to somehow honor Molly publicly or at least to the rest of your employees to let them know what kind of employee the HyVee standard should be, not the kind of unmotivated and uncaring employees that are becoming more and more prevalent in your store over the past few years. You can usually find a good deal on beverages and snacks inside, but it’d be better if the employees paid attention to their own signs instead of giving a stink about a deal they didn’t care to know about.

I received excellent service from ordering online and picking up for free a few hours later. The young man loading the groceries into the back of my car worked quickly and was very cheerful despite the 2 degree wind chill. I'm very thankful for their help during this Omicron season.

lack of way to communicate- sit on hold for an hour, for no one to come back to the phone. They moved my pick up time over and hour later, when I would be at work and I had no way to communicate with them to either reschedule or cancel order. I understand people are busy, but something has to give.
