I volunteered with a few co-workers, and we sorted bins of food. It was a humbling experience, and I feel good about our work today.

There are limited Handicap parking spots. People that don't have Handicap plates or a hang tag park there all the time. The upper management and office staff are extremely rude. The warehouse people are extremely friendly. So if you want to volunteer, do it after four that way you don't have to deal with any of the rude people.

We always have a positive experience volunteering at Harvesters. They are organized and have age and group specific tasks ready for us upon arrival.

I goto the Evangle Temple wednesday distribution... There is very little to no nutrition in the boxes given out. Bruised or rotten vegetables, this week I got chocolate sauce a coffee house mixer that has no use. Can't drink it, can't use it in a recipe, it's for making mocha at a coffee house. Do us all a favor don't take non nutritional food stuff as donations. I now have to figure out how to live on 2 cans of green beans and a frozen turkey and a set of rolls three days out of date for 2 weeks.

I heard that the tickets for 2023 were sold out and it was very busy. 750 tickets were sold. I got there about 1100. There were long lines for Lidia's and Blue Bird Bistro. I noticed that by 1130 there were booths closing because they were out of food. By 1200 there were more. Why didn't they bring enough food for the crowd. There didn't seem to be much variety as last year. Lots of pastries and coffee. Maybe that's why Lidia's and the Bistro had such long lines. I don't think all the venders on the list were there. I was disappointed. Too many people.

Englewood church in independence on winner road does not help with food. False advertising. When in need they insult you and cuss you out when you show up needing food. Remove the post! Or I will be contacting fox 4. No one deserves to be treated that way or talked to that way.
