“Everyone was friendly and always had food snacks and drinks available, not a bad walk to or from the hospital. They had a movie room, a little play area off of the living room and dining room that kids can build with Legos on the Lego wall”

“Love volunteering, donating, and visiting this place. Staff are so helpful and friendly. When you commit your time and donating, not only is it rewarding but also, you're helping out the kids and those who are sick. They always need things here. Check their website for their wants and needs. I have donated some toiletries, travel size soap, shampoo, lotions etc. Sharing is caring. If you get a chance, you get to meet their mascot/pet dog. Very friendly.”
“This is one of my family's favorite places to visit in the city. There are a lot of animals to look at inside the building, a nice area to bird watch, and some trails with rock formations. It's usually pretty quiet too and clean. The staff is friendly. The birds of prey are really something to see as is the gigantic snapping turtle and mole.”

“I tell e.one about this place. They make having a pet affordable w the cost of shots less then half the price of a regular vet office. They are fast & friendly w a very effective way of processing their appointments w an easy to use website to schedule your appointment easily & they send out reminders every year when your pet is due for shots. They also have cat & dog food available for free for those who r in need as well as supplies like bowls, leashes, collars, cages even s.times.Great resource if u have pets!!”
“Humble little non-profit bicycle shop ran by volunteers. Good selection of used bikes, seemingly fixed up like new, for a flexible price. The staff/volunteers are were friendly and knowledgeable, and had me in and out with a nice Schwinn. Very cool concept.”

“They were helpful and friendly. What I found unique and refreshing was how they tried to anticipate your needs and give you options. I highly recommend that veterans come to this location and register. Don't forget to bring a copy of your DD-214. This organization will also provide you with a box of food if you need it. They also have shelves filled with toiletries such as toothbrushes and toothpaste and many more things. Veterans Community offers many more services so give them a call or stop by.”
“Amazing, inclusive teacher! My husband and I enjoy taking dance classes together (they're all intro classes as we're not really dancers), and the intro to salsa teacher on 1/24/24 was one of the best teachers we've had. We look forward to learning more from Redux Society!”
“Goodwill is a very dynamic place to work for with a lot of dynamic people who are very serious about their mission, community and employees. I grew up in the neighborhood they were in and had a relative who spent many years with them. All I can say is this is a business who really say what they mean and definitely do exactly what they say above and beyond.”

“Healing House made such a positive impact on my life. When I went in I was broken and beat down from many years of drug use, and I honestly didn't know how to function like a normal person anymore. They brought rules and structure to my everyday life. The leaders actually care about the people coming in the door. Not to say that are going to coddle you, they are very real and expect you to work an honest program. And I found in my time there that most everyone I knew including myself that actually wanted to get clean; did very well in the program. So thank you Healing House. “I love the doggy daycare at Pawsperity. My Cavalier cannot wait to get in the door when we arrive. The staff are all so wonderful and helpful. I like the way the daycare is set up with play areas and the ability to go potty in a designated area. Also they are never over crowded with dogs like some other facilities. I also like that it supports the grooming project to train people for careers as groomers”

And they give military discount because I’m a veteran and they gave me one just make sure you show your VA or military id if not that then your DD-214.”
“Fantastic bike shop. The owners and employees are very knowledgeable, capable, and eager to get you on an affordable and suitable bicycle. I bought two bikes there for a very reasonable price. The bikes had been meticulously cleaned and refurbished. I'm beyond happy with them. As someone who's been using a bicycle to commute for two decades, I highly recommend this shop for all of your cycling needs.”

Call the staff and schedule a tour of the facility, Melissa Roach gives a great tour and offers visitors insights into safety. This tour is a must for Childcare facilities, and Emergency First Responders in order to share with the public.”

“Enjoyed watching the cowboys bull riding and bronco riding. Alot of fun. Food was good too. The BIG clown that rode a SMALL motorcycle up a short ramp and jumped over 2 cowboys laying on the ground was funny to watch. He had a Evil Knevel outfit on and made it fun to watch.”

“Returned to the USA and am currently homeless due to my daughter forcing me out of my home.Redemptorist Center is a true blessing. I was given a meal (Papa Johns made food specifically for the pantry. It was not old food.), toothbrush, and tooth paste.They give homeless people lunch on Monday- Thursday.They open up the pantry for those with homes on Tuesdays.”

“Called them at 11:30am today. They came out within 2 hours (same day), filled the tires with air, jumped it (but were ready to tow it out if it didn't start), and paperwork was finished/car was loaded up & gone within 20 minutes of arriving (all at no cost to me). Great service. Very nice crew doing good work. If you're donating a car in KC, especially if you need it to be towed for free, I'd definitely recommend calling them.”

“Its really impressive and outstanding what these people do here; how many people and animals they help every day! Plus, they keep a positive attitude and are extremely patient with stupid people.
It was very simple to drop off my pet to get neutered, then pick him up in the afternoon. He was microchipped and they provided medicine with clear instructions.”
