I was in a real bind and could not get through to the location I usually bank at. I had made many calls and could not get through to a human being. I returned a VM from the location at 135th and State Line and was lucky enough to reach Tyler. He took the time to really listen to my problem and let me know he had to look into a solution and would call me back. Tyler called me back within 10 minutes needing some information. He handled multiple calls to another bank to verify status on a check I had presented and confirmed the information needed to fix my problem. He then called me back after everything just to confirm I was good to go. Throughout the calls, he was extremely friendly and empathetic. You are hard pressed to find the level of service that Tyler provided me today. I just wanted to let your team know how great he was to work with and I will be using his location as my primary banking location from now on even though it is 30 minutes away from me.

12-18-23 1pm the bank teller guy inside actually engaged in a screaming match in front of everyone and did not care who was watching him act unprofessional instead of defusing the situation he egged it on with disrespectful replies back 2 me don't go here unless you want leave angry they are terrible Noone even tried to intervine they don't care about you or your money big or small go else where

I've banked with Commerce for ~20 years, it's been the only checking account I've really ever used. I'm done with them officially today.They have some decent services available, but I haven't had a truly positive customer service experience in a long time. Today, I made 3 different phone calls, the first 2 ended when I was transferred to the wrong department. After waiting 30 min on hold to resolve an issue with a fee (which shouldn't have posted anyway and is still unresolved) - I talked with a snarky customer service rep who insisted on taking an action that he assured me was pointless. I wasn't happy or nice about it, but I was willing to pay whatever was needed to resolve the issue immediately. Apparently there is no way to do that - which is really good reflection of how Commerce does business: always to their advantage.On the bright side, while I was on hold, I found that pretty much every other bank in Kansas City has better checking account terms - so I'm making a move and I'm happy about it. Don't assume all banks are the same and don't walk into this one and expect anything but trouble if you have an issue. 2 stars because there must have been something that they did right in the 20yrs (although nothing is really coming to mind).

I have been with Commerce Bank for years and the branch at 135th and State Line is my favorite. They have always been very helpful and still have a coin counter for customer use. I would recommend Commerce Bank and this branch to anyone.
