I had an amazing experience here. I never felt rushed through the appointment, got to try on a variety of gorgeous gowns, and did not feel pressured to purchase a dress. I felt confident and received great advice from Sadie, who helped us throughout the appointment!

I'd like to start off by saying that I shopped for wedding dresses at Kleinfeld, Vera Wang's New York City atelier, and other "famous" bridal shops, and my experience at Bride KC was the best one I had while searching for a dress. It was also my very first appointment--one that I booked for myself and came to alone because I was SO nervous about trying on dresses--and it could not have been a more beautiful experience. Laura was my consultant and was perfect all the way through. So many points I was impressed by:
It is a GORGEOUS storefront. Perfect lighting and chic, trendy, but unobtrusive decor. I love that you can see all their stock right there--it feels so much less overwhelming
I had the store completely to myself. I did go on a weekday, so not sure if it's always this personal of an experience, but it really made me feel like a princess.
I got into 11 dresses and even tried my favorites on twice and I still was about ten minutes under my 90 minute appointment time (I had to scurry to another appointment after). Laura was SO efficient with me!
Laura was the perfect consultant. Her comments were positive neutrals--she built up my confidence without ever swaying my decision on a dress. She also treated the appointment with the kind of sacredness I love. She didn't even put a veil on me because I was torn about two pieces and she didn't want the veil to make the decision for me. She was never pushy about the sale. Just perfection.
The dresses. OMG. Such a great selection. I was worried all the gowns in store would be a bit too minimalist and sleek for me (looking for a princess-y gown with an editorial, interesting spin), but there was really something for everyone. I feel IN LOVE with two Saint Bridal dresses <3
Overall, I cannot rave about Bride enough. While I did end up finding The One in New York, I still think back fondly to my Bride KC appointment often and am just so thankful that I went there first. They really helped my confidence, not only in my body and how it looked in dresses, but in my ability to know what I want and go for it. PLEASE visit--I don't think it's possible that you'll be disappointed.

Had the most amazing experience finding my dress at Bride! I had two appointments. At my first appointment, I found the one. But, I wanted to come back and show my family so I booked a second appointment. At the end of my second appointment, I found out my stylist, Laura, was actually the owner of Bride. It made so much sense. She was so sweet, knowledgeable, and make the experience comfortable and fun for me! Thank you so much Laura! ?

Laura was so sweet and easy to work with! She made me feel so at ease as I tried on dresses and really understood my style. I was super happy leaving today and even though I haven’t quite said yes, I’m sure I will be back to do so ?thank you Laura!

Where to begin… I reached out to Bride because they are the only shop in the Kansas City area that has the dress that I want for my wedding. I reached out to them and told them the truth, that I had already purchased the dress in California (where I’m getting married) but wanted to be able to have some other members of my family in KC be able to see the dress, so I was hoping to do an accessory appointment / veil shopping at Bride.
My mom has already booked a flight from CA to KC for a Friday to Sunday trip (which I told them), and asked if I would be able to get a Saturday morning appointment. They proceeded to tell me that they only do accessory appointments on Tuesday-Thursdays. Odd, but I was hoping with an explanation of my situation, they might be willing to make an exception – they did not.
They said that Saturday mornings are reserved strictly for first time bridal appointments, and there was nothing they could do about my scheduling issues, since they only have 2 stylists and not a lot of availability. Mind you, if I had told them that I had not bought the dress already and snagged that first time bridal appointment, and pretended I would be buying it from them, there would not be an issue, but I always like to be honest with people – and they don’t care!
They said there is absolutely nothing they can do, it is their policy. Mind you, veils are not cheap!!! It’s not like I was asking for 3 hours of their time to go in and buy a $50 bracelet… I wanted an hour to be able to try on the dress and some different accessories and veils, and I was more than willing to give them my business, because shop small right! NO. They said for accessory appointments they can only book me on a Tuesday-Thursday and I only get 30 minutes… 30 minutes is all you can give me when I’m about to spend $$$$ on accessories for the dress? AND they’re only open until 6… So you’re telling me I need to come straight from work (30 minutes away) where I already feel gross and not in the mood to be happy and excited and I better make a decision in 30 minutes?
I understand that there are rules, and that they can run their business however they want, but I was so disenchanted with the whole thing and their utter lack of leniency that even though they’re the only store that has the dress in KC, I will not be giving them my business.
They were not overtly rude to me, but my favorite thing about shopping local, and shopping small is that they usually are able to bend the rules and help you out since they are the ones in charge. Apparently, Bride does not feel this way. So word to the wise – only ever tell them you are doing a first time bridal appointment if you want them to actually help you and treat you well.

I had the best experience working with Rachel at Bride! She is so kind and made choosing my dresses beyond easy. I did visit other bridal shops and I can say with full confidence Bride is top tier. There was no awkwardness. I felt very comfortable while trying dresses on. The design of the store is also so minimalist and organized I never felt overwhelmed looking around, and my absolute favorite part was that I was the only bride there trying dresses on during my time slot. I had such a great time that when my dresses came in and I went to Bride to pick them up I was sad knowing I wouldn’t be coming back again!

The stylist I had, Laura, was amazing!! She was so fun and cheery and it was so hard to not smile around her. She made this appointment so fun for me and my party. She showed that she truly cared about me finding the perfect dress and was just so happy to be a part of my journey. This place is so cute and lively, I would recommend to anyone who asks; and I DEFINITELY would recommend Laura!!

Bride is hands down the best bridal shop in Kansas City! The girls are absolute angels and they have the best designer selection in town. Laura helped me find my wedding dress, she took the time to get to know my style and made my dress shopping experience so personal and fun. Sweet Rachel saved me from a wedding disaster as I ruined my veil just days before. She had a new veil steamed and ready for me on a few hours notice. I cannot say enough positive things!

Arrived at the dress shop, only to be turned down at the door. No prior information about their policy was provided, and my baby, who was peacefully sleeping, became a casualty of their rigid rules. The fact that I drove over an hour to be met with such inflexibility was not only frustrating but also incredibly disappointing. A lack of communication and consideration for customers' situations marred what could have been a positive experience.

I absolutely LOVED my experience at Bride. Rachel was the best to work with and really understood the type of style I was looking for and pulled my amazing dress. She made me feel so beautiful the day of, and now, a year later, I finally got to wear my dress on the big day and felt so stunning all day long. Bride was the first bridal boutique I looked at and they instantly made me feel very comfortable. I worked with Laura, who was so sweet and listened to my preferences/vision. I did not feel pressured to make a decision that day, unlike the other store I visited, which gave me time to carefully make my decision. I was able to share my Pinterest board in advance so Laura already had some of my liked designers pulled for me. I ended up with the Archie by Made with Love! It was the perfect classic dress with a dramatic back I was looking for for my destination beach wedding.

Unfortunately their normal selection was not in my price range but they have great style, especially for a modern look. I shopped their sample sale and while I didn't find 'the one' the consultant was very helpful the whole time, answering a lot of questions and was very patient while I was being indecisive.
