This location continues to get more and more disappointing. I had an entire cart FULL of about $300 worth of items. There are plenty of employees throughout the store. I go to check out, and am told the only option is self checkout. I absolutely would have put everything back but I needed this stuff so I checked myself out, lol. All the while, a young woman (an employee) just stared at me while I was checking out. There were no other customers around. So you're telling me she couldn't have scanned my items?I will not be coming back to this location. This was the worst case of lack of customer service I have encountered in a long time. With things so easy to purchase online, I would think Target would treat customers who actually come into the store with a little common courtesy.

I'm so freaking mad. My family and I needed to go here for an emergency, and on their site it says they're open till 11:59. When we got there at 11:20 all the lights were off and no one was there. So mad!!

Target, you need to rethink your association to TD Bank USA, N.A. for your Red Card. They'll run all your customers away. Got a debt consolidation loan to have a single payment. Took a check, made out to Target from my bank with a notation of my account number on the check on May 14, 2021 (payment due date). The check was not written on my personal account, but a check directly from my bank. The local store in Joplin accepted the check, and they payment was posted to my account May 15. Target then refunded the late fee that was charged because the payment was made on time, they were just to lazy to post it the same day. August 1, Target reverses the store payment (my account online says Target returned the payment to my bank) and charged me late payment interest DAILY on Aug 1, 2 and 3. Once I figure out who is calling me 4-5 times a day, I call guest services (after normal banking hours) and the woman said I owe it. The woman I talked to was absolutely horrid, very hateful and condescending. I told her I had paid it once and was getting in touch with my bank. Made contact with my bank on Aug 4 and they said they have never received the check, either as a processed payment (because the Joplin store lost it?) or the returned payment like it says online. My bank stopped payment on the original check, deposited funds into my account and I called Target back to make a payment, again. They wanted account and routing numbers and I made them do a debit card transaction. Now they are trying to still charge me for the 4 days of late payment interest. As of midnight, it's still showing as a balance on my account. That's 4 business days since the second payment was made to pay off the account! BS! Like the employees in Joplin are just randomly going to pick someone and submit a payment of less than $100 to pay off the balance of an account without an actual check! This is seriously making me rethink my association with Target. Amazon here I come!

First let me say that this is NOT a reflection on our lovely Joplin Target store. It is however a review of one of the Target policies. Specifically, after placing an order recently for bedding online, the item arrived looking absolutely NOTHING like the picture, not even remotely close. I had to go online and look at what I ordered, assuming that I had ordered the wrong item. But it was the correct item. Disappointed, I returned the item to the Joplin store the following afternoon. I asked the young man in the service department who nicely helped me ... "And this amount will be put back on my Target Red card so I can go home and purchase something else today?" And he said "Oh absolutely". I came home, checked my online account. No refund. Checked at midnight. Uh-uh. Checked at noon today, still not there. So I called the customer service number. The young woman who came on the line couldn't keep her mouth shut long enough for me to fully explain the situation and when she did finally shut up, and I told her she said "our policy says that the amount will be put back on your account in 1-3 days." I explained that they didn't wait 1-3 days to take the money out of my account and I wasn't willing to wait, especially after I had been guaranteed in person that it would be fully credited as soon as he entered the return. WHICH is as it should be. She continued to fill the air with her own voice and finally, I asked to be sent to her supervisor. The supervisor came on after an extremely, felt like intentionally long, hold time. I explained succinctly what the situation was and she explained the same thing. BUT, she could send me to credit card services to see if I could get satisfaction there. Not wanting to fill my Saturday any further with this Target crap any further, and feeling my blood pressure heading into dangerous levels, I said 'no thanks, I'll buy from someone else' and I hung up. If I could give zero stars I would have. This may be the policy at other stores as well, but my dealings were with Target today. With so many other places to buy from, I would suggest that Target get it together and find a more "customer service" FRIENDLY and HONEST way to handle these matters. They don't hesitate to ding you if your payment is late, they do not wait to charge account when you order something, should NOT be difficult to come up with a system where as soon as a refund is presented, and Target accepts the refund, the credit is right back in your account. UNACCEPTABLE. And it is unacceptable that they do not train their employees with this so that they don't mistakenly tell customers wrong information. I'll just go next door to Kohl's.

I was looking for a job during the quarantine and I applied at Target in Joplin, MO. I applied online and scheduled my first phone interview online. On the day of the phone interview, I waited thirty minutes after my phone interview was supposed to start and had to call HR to remind them of my interview. We conducted the interview an hour late but it went well. The manager said that they would reach out in a few days to schedule a second in-person interview. They never reached out to me. I called HR again to schedule my in-person interview. I showed up to my in-person interview early just to wait 15 minutes so they could find a manager to conduct my interview. The manager asked me the exact same questions after I told her that I had already answered these questions in my first interview. After my interview, she said that they would reach out in a few days to tell me if I got the job or not. After a week of waiting, I called HR today. After being on hold for 15 minutes for guest services to find someone from HR to talk to me, I did not receive the job. This Target's lack of communication, initiative, and organization makes me glad I did not receive this job and that I will be going back to my job at Vera Bradley soon.

This is a nice painted Target. I like the Customer-Service. And It's a handy cool store! I think It's handy because It has cool air when hit. It's a nice place! The only think I don't like is the big lines. But it is what it is. Great Job!

Rarely ever any lanes open, all white staff ( Why no black workers????) no urgency while working over all the worst experience I've ever had at any target and I've been to plenty throughout the USA.

Always enjoy the Target store in Joplin Mo! There are always things we love that are exclusively at Target, specifically brands of coffee! We also have the option to get cheap popcorn, pretzels, or pizza after shopping which is very popular with my daughter. Overall, very clean store with a great product selection!
