I live in Chicago and my father banks here. I drove all the way down to this location to tie up loose end’s because he is in the hospital dying. When i came in I was treated with extreme rudeness and suspicion by Janice. There was an issue with the power of attorney paperwork and instead of being helpful and compassionate she had an attitude. I understand that they were not able to help me in this situation but she was very inconsiderate about it. I left and went to a different location and was treated with kindness and was helped to be better prepared. She definitely needs sensitivity training!

I'm not a customer of this credit union, but I am a member of an out-of-town credit union that has an agreement with them. I walked in and needed a HUGE sum in a cashier's check. The person was nice, didn't think they would be allowed to process an amount that high but CHECKED to see if they could and they could, so she processed it immediately and without complaint. Really nice. I wish they had a branch in Nevada, MO., so I could sign up with them.

Recently got a loan through them and was told that I needed to provide proof of insurance. Ok, simple right? No, not when your miss informed on what exactly their definition of providing insurance is. Here I think I need to simply take my updated insurance card in, no apparently I need to call my insurance company and have them send a declaration of lien to the bank. I was notified of this through a phone call, then a letter stating that I would have $1400 tacked on my loan if I didn’t provide this to them. Wow, ok thanks! Informed correctly in the first place I would have had this to them ASAP. Not Happy at all! This credit union also needs to catch up with the times, I can’t even use Apple Pay with my card because of they are behind times. I can’t use certain apps because of this as well. Seriously considering finding another bank. This is after being with them for 16+ years!

I have been with these guys since I moved here over 20 yrs ago and I am still a happy customer. I always get greeted with a smile and answers to questions when asked. As their slogan says "We are always there for the little guy" Thank you Joplin Metro Credit Union.

Good sensible banking! I've used it for over 20 years! The personalized service you get here is not available in regular big banks; and their fees are more reasonable than banks. Thank you JMCU
