I wanted a raised planter and this one is fabulous! So good I bought a 3rd one. The gravel, weed prevention fabric and the edging blocks were all a great price. It's easy to access their garden area and there is always an employee near if you have questions. That's why I keep going back.

Absolutely terrible experience buying countertops and dealing with the subcontractor, Signature Granite and Home Depot. I will never be buying these things through them or dealing with this subcontractor again and would not recommend them to anyone. The subcontractor came in to remove old countertops and ended up damaging the front of my kitchen cabinets. It is 3 months into the job and the only offer was staining. There is a chunk of cabinet missing next to the oven and they don't want to do anything else to make it right. Additionally, they measured incorrectly and had to cut one large piece to make it fit which then changed the center. Moreover, the measurement guy told me one piece, it came in two. There was no prior notice or review. There were large gaps on the edges of tops. Their sealing job was terrible, left gaps, forgot to caulk areas, left a mess in every room they worked in. Caulk dripped in and on the cabinets and did not bother to clean it up. Came out three times to fix, finally did a decent job on the last time. I am now 3 months into arguing with them about their work. My other contractors had to push their schedule because of this ongoing issue and it was a total mess. I paid hundreds of dollars for removable that did not include damage to front of cabinets. I paid for a quality install job and got a job that looks like a poor DIY project. Home Depot blaming the subcontractor. The Subcontractor putting it on home depot. I asked for them to return whole/part of the demo charge as this caused the damage, nope. I asked for them to fix the missing chunk, nope. Let's slap some lipstick on a pig, that is their motto. Never again. I am beyond angry and frustrated.

Picked up a raised patio garden bed and it was filthy. It was covered in bird poop. I was told they all look like this.

Literally the worst home improvement store ever. I will NEVER go to this store again. So many negative experiences at this store and with HD in general. I've had doors delivered with scrapes and gouges, paid for carpet installation over two months ago that keeps being rescheduled, long waits for paint (if anyone is even working the counter), out of supplies regularly, etc. Shop the other big box store and forget about this one.

The person in the garden department was very helpful. She went through the rose plant to find healthy looking plants.

Obviously a very good store to help with your home improvement needs, however, the customer service is definitely hit and miss. I have had great service as well as terrible service. It seems if you are looking in a specific department (i/e...paint...kitchen) then you get decent service, however, if you are looking for general items, good luck finding help. There are many times where I don't feel very welcome. Hopefully they can get more consistent with their service in the future.

They have come a long way from where they were in customer service a couple of years ago. Then, I had asked someone to send an employee to the plumbing section to help me. I don't know if she was mad, mental, or menopausal but she went off on me like I was an ex husband owing back alimony and I'd never seen the woman in my life. I do have to give them credit for the tornado shelter that they built. And, it appears that employees now know a bit more than before and are friendlier. But, time will tell. Back to the tornado. They did put up a plaque to honor those killed but could have chosen a better location. It's often hidden behind the entrance behind display items. I think their prices are a bit higher than other competition in town, but this location is a lot easier to get in and out of than Lowes down the road. Of course, it depends on where you're coming from and going to. But, on the whole, I find Lowes more congested in traffic than this location.

We went Sunday to buy a zero turn lawn tractor. We parked near the mowers and looked at them, sat on them, waited on a sales clerk. Finally, I asked one of the 2 guys loading mulch if they could get someone to help us. They said yes. At this time, they were doing nothing but talking with 2 probable customers. After 15 further minutes when no-one showed up, I called the store on my cell phone and asked for help. I was told they were short handed and mulch was on sale that day. Finally, frustrated I told them that I guess a $2 bag of mulch was more important than a $5000 lawn mower and hung up. We waited another 5 minutes and went to drive off. We found another mower up by the exit door and stopped there to check it out. No less than 5 associates walked by us and no-one offered to help. We saw people at the checkout register standing and talking and not working. Very unhappy with this visit. Am planning to buy my mower from Lowes now.

Is anybody, but me aware that this Home Depot in Joplin is overcharging people? Drove down to southern Missouri yesterday from Kansas City and everything I looked at is quite a bit more than other Home Depots. Example: 1x4x8ft: Joplin 6.32, Springfield 4.48, Branson 4.48. I realize prices are set by cost and freight, but really can the costs be that much more than Springfield 70 miles away? Springfield and Joplin are in the same store group. This location seems to be taking advantage of the past tornado destruction. "Joplin Home Depot, would you like some additional insurance tornado recovery money? Yes, please." I won't even mention KC Home Depot lumber prices, since they are in another group, but let me just say it is worth driving wood down from KC stores to southern Missouri.
