Even if you don't rent from this place, and one of their rented out cars hits yours, they won't help at all. They don't care.I've tried calling to be added to a claim due to having my *parked* car hit by an Avis vehicle from this branch, with loss damage waiver on the agreement. I have photos, a witness, recorded video of the hit, and contacted the police. Avis doesn't care. I even have the driver's license picture. NO dice, Avis won't talk to me, so now I have to get my insurance involved to sue them. Funny how fraud works. Special thanks to "Derek" for being a rude employee who refused to listen and told me to stop calling.Way to go with setting the low bar, Avis of Joplin. Colluding for fraud. That's how it's done!EDIT TO THE OWNER:I am a 3rd party whose parked car was hit by your vehicle, Avis of Joplin. You refused to take my info over the phone and told me to wait two weeks to call your insurer to have my vehicle repaired. I'm sure you want to care for the black Camaro that hit me, so why not me, the hapless victim? I have no reservation number because I AM NOT A RENTER! You failed to read my above review, already stating I was not the renter. I have never rented an Avis car, and after this disgraceful behavior from you, I never will.Update:Avis' insurer is still denying coverage, and the driver is still MIA with unknown (if any) insurance. Meanwhile, Avis tells me there's nothing they can do, or sends me back to the branch, who has told me not to call.Avis needs to be taken to task for their repeated fraudulent activity.

I've done business with the Joplin Airport Avis twice in the past week. The first, I needed a ride asap. Their selection was limited due to a busy weekend, but with a slight upgrade (with cost on my part), I was able to get a really decent ride. When I returned 3 days later, there was a better variety to choose from and more fitting for my needs. Each Avis rep was friendly and knowledgeable. And I was given a discount thru my Sam's Club membership. I will be renting from them again in the future.

We have rented twice from Avis at Joplin Airport and both times the people at the counter have been absolutely fabulous. All my discounts were honored… we were offered upgrades both times and the vehicles were absolutely spotless. I have no complaints at all about the prices. Avis is by far a better deal than other vehicle rental companies if you’re smart about shopping around and take advantage of their offers and various discounts out there.Avis at Joplin Airport will continue to be our go-to when we need to rent a vehicle.

The Avis on 7th st is extremely helpful. I would not recommend the airport Avis for several concrete reasons which I would be happy to discuss with the corporate office.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE !!! I've spent over 3500 dollars here over the last year and every was ok till my last trip, I rented the car from June 20-july 5 but returned it early on the 1st, on the 7th six days after I returned it they charged my card 250$ when I called everyone played d*** and had no clue what I was talking about, a week later I get a letter saying it's b/c my family smoked in the car !! Only thing is my myself nor my wife have ever smoked a day in our life's, guess now we know why they always have cars available and enterprise is sold out, STAY AWAY IF YOU DONT WANNA GET CHARGED FOR THINGS YOU DIDNT DO.

Rip off over price fees out the as. Unexplained went local was charged 1 way. Had gas yet charged by franchise policy to fill full tank economy car charged 1k+ for 3 day senior citizen living on ss Avis. Asss

Honestly the most frustrating car rental I've ever had. I told the lady to extend our days she insured me they did. That was a lie she did not. The car they gave us from Alabama to MO cost us 1300$ that's insane. I've had a car from enterprise for 2 weeks and only spent 800$. I'll never use this service again and would highly recommend you to use a different car rental agency.

Employees were rude, left important things out of contract like cost of milage. Filled the car to the rim a half mile from the rental agency, and was still charged almost 20 bucks for 2 gallons it didn't need or couldn't hold. Rip off!

They were very accommodating and they didn't give my car away like enterprise does if you're late picking the car up.
