Would not recommend for living or for a job. The workers are rude for no reason.

For the past 2 months I have worked as part of the Dietary Staff at this Nursing Home without absolutely no training, no TB SHOT, and it has been the worst working experience of my life! I have stayed on because I care for the Resident's who are being handled very badly in this understaffed, poorly managed, under regulated facility. If I had a loved one in this facility I would pull them out because their care is questionable at best.

If you care about your loved ones, DO NOT BRING THEM HERE. My mother passed away last week after 15 months of being admitted here. She did not receive the care she deserved, she was neglected, and starved to death. Her health declined severally in the last 6 months after they started sedating her without our permission. She went from 185 lbs to 106 lbs in a matter of months. She developed a kidney infection that put her in the hospital for over a week and then pneumonia shortly after. She also got extremely weak so she couldn't feed herself and they did nothing to help her eat. If she was sleeping all the time, then she couldn't tell them she didn't feel well. And if she was sleeping all the time then she wasn't eating. When she was awake she was like a zombie. When my sister would call to check on her, many times they would lie and say she was doing good. We only kept her here because there were no places with open beds with a memory care unit. She had over 14 falls, busted her head open and required stitches. The last accident before she passed away, she broke her wrist and they could never give us a straight story of how it happened. They tried to blame her death to Alzeimers, but she had just been diagnosed 3 years before. She was not that far gone. She would dress herself, put make up on, etc. The only way you could tell she had Alzeimers is because she was forgetful and she would repeat herself over and over. She was very talkative and loved to talk to people. Had we ordered an autopsy, it would have proven that her body shut down due to starvation and lack of nutrients but we did not order the autopsy because my mother would not have wanted to be cut up. The only reason we kept her here is because there were no beds open at the other places that had a memory care unit. Please spare yourself the heartbreak and DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONE HERE.

Have been here approximately 52 days for rehab. Everyone I have interacted with has been very supportive, helpful, and kind. The rehab department is top of the line. Had me walking with a walker in 2 days! Although the food is not always the best but they offer an alternative and you have a refrigerator in your room. If you need skilled nursing or rehabilitation I strongly suggest that you check them out here

Was there early 2022, used to wake up at 2am to patients screaming in pain as staff made their rounds. Grab, yank and pull. Another time I sat in diarrhea for 2 hours while my CNA enjoyed a party. Should be shut down.

They let my sister lay there until it was to late to do anything for her. My sister told me she was sick and needed to go to the hospital but they had her husband believing she was getting better. She told me this. That they had him fooled. A lot of us could see she wasn't "fine". But we were not the ones that had the power to do anything. Apparently the nursing staff doesn't monitor the patients as they should or they would have know she wasn't "fine". By the time they finely called an ambulance to get her to the hospital, it was to late. As far as I'm concerned, it was their actions, or lack of, that killed her. With the exception of one or two employee's, the rest of them are not nice at all. They just don't care

Friend of mine passed away there and when I went to retrieve his things, his cellphone and charger where missing. No one seems to know what happened to it. He was there basically 24 hours total from arrival to the time he passed and his cell disappeared. Really? Who does that? Stealing from the dead? His phone contained contacts that we needed to let know he had passed, but now we can't because it's gone. If I could give a minus star I would. I even asked when he arrived if his phone would be safe left with him and was told yes many residents had phones. I am so discussed with this I can't even...

Years of incredibly poor management has taken over this place. It needs a complete turn over and all of head department, especially the ED need to be removed and fired.

I have worked @ JCNR since March 2021, and the new management team is very dedicated to not only their staff but also the residents. Everyone is treated like family and that is how she expects staff to treat the residents. She is fixing the place up and that is evident when you walk in the front door. If you want excellence in the care of your loved one, then JCNR is the place for you!

Yep from me d j joker Mr j this is the best place to be hand's down the staff treat's you like your family and is always there too make you feel welcome and help you out unlike most other places and no matter who you actually are or what you have done for a living thay are good and caring to you and don't treat you like a prop or eye candy or the press ora check your a person a good person a part of them you get to feel like a kid again not what people have seen or heard or read about you for years your a person a part of them and there livesa person not a managed piece of property and when the world waves at you because of your stage name or your concerts or because of your life and popularity staff here waves at you because of " you" ya dig,100

I'm a resident at Jefferson City Nursing & Rehab and I've been treated like family the entire 2 years I've been here. I love all the Staff and residents here. Activities are amazing. If you want a home feeling facility this is the one.
