As a PAYING member of the YMCA in Jefferson city. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED that the indoor pool being closed on the 4th of July. It was open last year for the members to swim and do laps. There is NO ROOM in the outdoor pool on the 4th of July and other special days. The WHOLE POOL is reserved for activities for children and no lap or recreation swim area. PLEASE have the indoor pool open for recreational swim and lap swim since the outdoor pool is reserved for special activities that outdoorSincerely unhappy member

They lack normal gym etiquette nor do they encourage it. There's a 5 hour time span daily where children swarm the place. If you complain the employees will not respond. If you want to talk to an admin well let's be clear. The admin might have a 2 bit degree from a subpar university making the county average salary. They don't have time to talk to peasants like us.

Clean locker Rooms, Very friendly helpful staff. Open early in morning so can workout before work. Has lots of children's summer programs. Great for community.

I have looked in other cities for a Y with comparable facilities and haven’t found any. In my personal experience, this YMCA is excellent.

Very nice staff, very clean facility. Firley has an outdoor pool, Knowles, located across the street from the football field at JC high school, has an indoor pool, that I believe is open year round. Also Firley has a large free weight workout section and racket ball courts and indoor tennis courts. Knowles has a fairly large gymnastics facility.

Business model designed specifically to cater to baby boomers which is annoying especially with covid. They're like we follow the CDC guidelines but you can tell they haven't read them. If they had they would know that masking in the lobby is a joke.
