never had a problem shipping but went in there to get something notarized and the dude doing the notarization was so rude I grabbed my stuff and left. never returning

They were very rude, to me , more than likely because of the color of me SKIN, because to every one else they were friendly. I will NEVER come here again, even if it was one only one.

I have had a mailbox here for multiple years now. Always friendly and helpful. if they aren't slammed when I walk in the door, someone at the desk "Box ***" and someone in the back already has my mail. They are always willing to answer questions, and if they don't know they find the one who does. Based on what I have walked into a few times I am sure some of these low star reviews are from people that came in, and started to get irate over UPS shipping rules/policy, or they just had a foul attitude and were told to come back when they fixed it. Remember folks the customer is always right...In matters of taste. These folks are here to work and go home. Don't shoot the messengers, they control rules and policy as much as we do. If you are having a bad day take a deep breath...you don't have to smile, but it's not their fault.

Very sad gaggle of employees.. no "Hi, can I help you?", they just drag their feet over to you and stare. They act like they don't want your business, so no worries, they won't get it anymore.

I wouldn’t ship anything of value from this location. We came in at 4:55 pm (I know 5 min before close ) and Jimmy or Jim looks at us and laughs , saying you guys need to come back tomorrow it’s too close to 5 and I can’t ship another package (mind you this is a 4 thousand dollar microphone and I just drove 25 min to get here )…. I said
“ is that a Corp Policy , because I’ve never had this experience ?” (Knowing they can ship or at least create the order and ship next day )
Jim “this is my policy, you should’ve came earlier …. “
I was shocked by his lack of professionalism and care for his job that I actually thanked him and said
“You actually just really put me at ease because I’ll never ship a birthday card from this location let alone anything of value!”
I did try to contact the corporate number before leaving a 2 star review (he gets one for clensliness and another because it said UPS store (trying to be fair )…but that’s an even bigger joke then the service I received.
I usually go through fed x anyways so if it’s not broke don’t fix it! Good lesson
I’m sure other ups employees and stores are great but Jimmy in independence should take a lesson in professional etiquette, and not care so much about getting off on a Saturday evening ….

I like to give praise when it's deserved.UPS is the best of the best!! They care for your packages like it's their own.They honk then the courtesy knock.I feel a relief when I know they are the ones delivering my package.love these guys
