Highly suggest not to do business with this storage. They are under new management and they only care about the money. They don’t care how long you’ve been there. They are not understanding and have no perks for loyal customers. Fun fact, the longer you been there, the more penalties you get. Increases every year, so don’t get too excited about your deal. I have been a long standing customer for 6 years and since Covid and inflation and being a single father of 4. I was granted a payment plan from the old management. The new management is not honoring it and straight told me they don’t care about the customers and only about the money and are trying to throw out all of my kids stuff in 24 hours or auction it off. I live out of state and it’s not about the money, it’s about the time a preparation to get there and they have no heart. I am being as understanding as I can get but I can’t. So never fall on hard times or ya know a world pandemic because new management has something to prove. Don’t know what throwing a single fathers kids stuff out on the streets or auctioning is going to do but okay. I also just paid my payment arrangement amount. So I guess that that doesn’t im serious. I can see if I wasn’t paying or dodging them but I guess being human is too much. So yes don’t go here because even if your situation isn’t like mine, they still aren’t going to be understanding or people you would want to rent from.

You have to use their app to do pretty much anything without having to pay a convenience fee and there's literally NO parking for customers outside the front office building. Their insurance is hellaciously expensive and covers next to nothing. The doors on the units could easily be breached with any pair of scissors meant to cut metal.

My unit was broken into 8000$ worth of my belongings were stolen. The insurance they offer wouldn't pay us because they said they didn't cover mysterious disappearances. My unit was completely robbed of a dirt bike . 6-7 pairs of designer shoes, a very expensive guitar and a expensive set of rims and tires. And some miscellaneous tools. The lock was still on the unit, I had gotten the lock and key from the office so I believe they have a master key or made a copy of my key. It was a somewhat elaborate scheme. Long story short. Do not go here. Your stuff will get stolen and you will not be reimbursed. And they will act like you stole your own things. "Mysterious disappearances" give me a break. You all robbed me.

Today I worked with 1-800-Got-Junk to clean out our storage unit that we’ve had for many years. Due to my department being done away with, my employment will end, so my department was tasked with emptying out and closing all out storage units. If I end up getting rehired with any other company that needs a storage facility, I’ll definitely be giving StorageMart on 40 Highway in Independence my business, as they have always been great to work with over many years.

The storage area and unit are dirty I call and told two different er ence people I am getting web notifications you are offering 1 month free they kept tell me no just rent this last Friday
