Ever since they switched their teams and owner my repairs became more and more until I took it too another shop and it was 250% cheaper. Wish the kept Jeff but it is what it is.

Can't figure out why it's so expensive to change two wheel bearings on a 2010 Dodge caliber, when it's a 40 dollar part.

Took my car up to the shop and the guy couldn't figure out what was wrong so I went up there to get my car back and the guy insisted that he drive it to my house so he could make sure it made it back then he backed it in my driveway with the driver side facing away from my house and I went outside and looked at the back driver side and my bumper is dented and cracked from where one of their people wrecked my car backing into something hard enough to dent and crack my bumper and didn't even tell me it happened I knew something was suspicious when he insisted to drive it to my house

As cars have become more complicated and electronic/computer components abound, I no longer tinker with my cars. For some time I have trusted my 2006 Chevy Impala service to Maywood Auto (thanks Jeff) and staff. Though it requires a considerable drive, I will not let anyone else do the job. Keep up the fine job you have been providing!

This is an in depth review, so please buckle up.I have a 2006 PT Cruiser. Had a blown head gasket, so obviously I was needing a good solid mechanic to take care of this repair as it's beyond my skill. I did a ton of research on places with rock solid reviews that were close to me, and this place was rated 4.9 stars at time of this review. Awesome, great feedback too. So I take it in, they perform the diagnostic and confirm my suspicion about the head gasket.Took a few weeks to get it in, totally fine with that - staff get injured or sick, life happens. Jeff was fantastic from start to finish, communicated with me in a polite and timely manner and I have absolutely nothing bad to say about him - he represents the best of the industry. However, whoever worked on my car just seemed super sloppy. The head gasket repair was 100% a success, I cannot fault them here - I know how big of a job it is on this car, and I thank them from the bottom of my heart. However. I received the car back, and the overflow tank was drained empty. I understand the coolant loop might have burped it, however given that it was a head gasket repair I am surprised it wasn't already burped whilst in the shop - especially considering there is a bleeder valve on the thermostat housing that is super easy to burp with. I also noted a ton of burning oil smell, I put it down to just being the new gaskets and sealants wearing in. I also noticed the power steering was making a hell of a whine when I turned it, and noted the fluid was pooling on top of the reservoir. I popped the cap, to find it full of air and half empty. I had to top it off, and then bleed it - presumably, it got tipped upside down when the intake was taken off and emptied out.Fast forward 12 hours, there is oil just dumping everywhere. It's covered the transmission housing, trickling quite visibly down the side of the head and made a mess of my driveway and garage. I take a look, and it looks like almost no RTV was used on the valve cover gasket. The oil was also leaking onto the hot exhaust manifold, presenting a genuine risk of fire. I take it back, Jeff was more than happy to get it taken care of - no complaints there. I pick it up the following day, and on the drive home after passing a truck, the throttle is stuck wide open. I mean, it's bouncing off the limiter and I'm about to hit a red light. I end up throwing the vehicle into neutral, and then have to throw it in drive whilst it's wide open throttle, and back into neutral over the railroad tracks and ditch on the side of the road. I pop the hood, and check and find that the throttle body plastic shielding has been rammed in so hard that the plastic has broke, and caused it to fall underneath the throttle assembly, locking it wide open. Bare in mind, I do carry two children under 4 in this car. If this had been someone who doesn't know about cars, they'd have been up the creek without a paddle. A real safety issue here of rear ending someone.I fix the issue on the side of the road, and get home. I then observe I am missing tons of bolts and screws all over. I am missing 3 of the 4 screws holding the exhaust manifold on. As such, the exhaust manifold heat shield is rubbing against the alternator wire. I am missing a screw for one of my 12v breaker fuses, I am missing a screw on the air-intake and I am also missing the screw that holds the oil dipstick in place. And, to top it all off. The oil is still leaking onto the transmission housing, albeit at a slower speed. But enough to still drip onto my driveway. It should be noted, that prior to bringing the vehicle in there was zero leaks whatsoever. I'd worked hard previously to ensure that it didn't leak.I am now at the point where I don't want to bring it back for a 4th time, as I feel something else might get broken or be missing when I get the car back. I am already going to have to go to the junkyard to get replacement screws and fittings, and I will just need to replace the valve cover gasket a 3rd time by myself.
