Always excellent service for a reasonable price! Only place I would trust with a puppy parvo situation.

The only negative thing I can say about this office is ,I had to bring my 14 year old Sassy girl in for her final journey to the rainbow bridge it was so hard because she was still so fun and playful, everyone was very nice and said sorry but it was really fast and then we were gone that was very hard on me since I can't have kids of my own she was my baby so after the vet came in it only took a few seconds 1 shot and she was gone limp in my arms and they both left us for privacy. The tech checked on us again and told us to leave when we were ready. Me being Sassys mom I would have really loved a call back or a card in the mail or anything saying we are thinking of you or sorry we just paid and that was it. Now I know they don't have to do that but it really helps with the grieving process ...Thats the only thing I wished was different. Other then that we bring our boys Travis and Winston here also for all there care and everyone that touches them are so kind and gentle. Update- On August 16th, 2024 my baby boy Winston crossed the rainbow bridge and once again we decided to take him to Independence. I had just lost my mother the day before so I was a emotional wreck. My mama now my fur baby... Everyone was kind but these are our babies and I understand its a business but please send a card or paw print or even a follow up call it really does help the grieving pet owner.

They care about animals here, everyone does, pricing is better than everywhere else too. Dr. West is amazing and so is every other vet here. Nurses and front office staff are amazing as well. Consider yourself lucky if you get to go here!

Honestly I know people all over the city who make the drive to bring their animals here. I have taken my pets to this place for years and will continue to do so. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr Scott on my last visit and found him to be honest, sincere, and very easy to talk to. My pets have always received excellent care here, but this visit truly stood out. Thank you for the genuine care for our pets.

Between my parents and myself and about 30 cats and dogs over a span of 40 years, we have been loyal patrons and they have been a great veterinary clinic/hospital. We have never used anyone else for reason. It's a vet, they handle family members who can not speak up for themselves. So when choosing a clinic for mine I only choose the best, Independence Animal Hospital.

My son brought his dog here after our vet was closed due to a car running into the building. He saw Dr. West without an appointment. He was satisfied and found the doctor to be very knowledgeable.

On November 3rd of 2023 I came here with my dog Juno. I had brought her here two times previously, for them to check her in her declining health. They didn't figure out she had Addison's disease before it was too late. They only did a blood test on her last day alive, had they figured it out before she could've lived on for a number of years. I have done my own research, had they figured it out sooner she could've lived. I haven't had the strength to write this until today. I do NOT in any way recommend this clinic, they are slow to act and ignorant. I will note here, they gave her the shot for Addison's which i agreed to, not knowing it had the possibility of killing her. They did not warn me this could've happened. If they had i would've brought her home without the shot and had her euthanized at home with a vet, where she was most comfortable. They ROBBED me of the chance to do this and properly say goodbye. I will never forgive this clinic, every time i drive past it i sob. Sure they put her last visit costs towards her cremation BUT this in no way makes up for what they did to my best friend. Would give 0 stars if i could, if you can avoid this vet. They killed my best friend and I will never come here again. I recommend Northeast Animal Hospital, they are kind, honest and professional.

I came to this clinic for years with my previous cat. They even took care of her remains. I have had two healthy cats since then. One started getting ill, and the clinic refused to take us, because we had not used their services for two years.
My animals have been healthy, doctor.
Piss on them. Now it is a rather important medical issue, and I am suddenly a new patient.
I don't enjoy reviewing and flaming businesses. However, let this be an indicator that they do not need or want any further business.

The doctors are really good. We have taken our Scotty to them, and now our golden doddle. And our cat.
