The staff in every store are always friendly and knowledgeable. The place is always clean. I do wish the parking lot lighting was brighter and the driving lanes around the mall were better marked.

Awesome place like always, but alot less people then before in the late 90s and 2000's. I hope they clean up from the shootings and hope to have people come back to shop and have business and not shut down the mall

Not closed yet. They still have some cool nostalgic stores…

We only had to run in for a quick run. But it was during the DREADED CHRISTMAS CRUNCH. And amazingly it wasn't bad. We were in and out in no time. The stores we went to were pleasantly and surprisingly still stocked. And this was two days before Christmas. The Center was very crowded but not overly so that you had to walk slowly to go around people. And quite shockingly the stores being this busy you weren't bumping into people and the lines didn't take long. The stores we entered were well enough prepared to keep their patrons happy.I think for me the best and Happiest part of all was it appeared whether too tired to care or not everyone seemed to be of Good Cheer.

Sadly, I'm afraid this mall won't make it much longer. Sad because they have some great stores, but the CUSTOMERS are rude. We never saw any security guards either. Considering the past and it being the week of Christmas, I think they should have a better presence. We got shoulder "checked" by some teenagers walking by. No one will move. They just walk right into you or through you. I hope it changes soon before it's too late. It's so sad.

It's a very large shopping mall on three floors. There are various stores and small but fun facilities, so you can enjoy it with your children

It's not too bad for a mall. I like how it's an indoor mall. I hear it gets kind of rough after dark, but I don't know. They are doing some remodeling in the main area, but it's easy to get around

Only went to three shops this trip, but it was well worth it. Victoria's Secrets was clean and well laid out. Once we were able to get a clerk to help us, everything went smoothly. The clerk was pleasant and very helpful. After that it was off to Bath and Body - where I have never had a bad experience. In fact one of the clerks recommended us to download their app so we could save even more when making our final purchaseLast, we visited Topsy's. Got as popcorn tin, but was disappointed to find out they no longer refill any tins that you would bring in. Just another that way that Covid as changed the face of retail.Thankfully we did not have to worry about any issues with teenagers as the mall has been subjected to in the past - I still don't feel comfortable bring my small grandchildren there for an extended period of time, but this was a very pleasant trip to the mall.

Not a lot of foot traffic, possibly due to some past incidents, no doubt online stores are hurting brick-and mortar sales. The Center looked so bright and clean, though, no complaints there. I hope it can stay viable, could be a real recreation destination with an indoor skatepark, (concrete, ramps are so industrial), swimming pool, floor-level trampolines like the Kardashians. Cringing from referencing the name, but the design makes sense.

My experience was delightful! My son wanted to go to Build a Bear for his birthday and play the arcade games at the mall - done! There was a great variety of games. The atmosphere was a bit sad with so many stores boarded up and vacant, I truly hope it can come back to life! Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, we would go back if we are ever in the area or close by.

Went to the mall to go early shopping for my kiddos and on a couch in the middle of the mall there was two women on a couch kissing each other with hands in each other’s pants!!! My 6 & 8 year old was exposed when i reported it to the mall staff it took the security 15 mins to come and handle it and the police was not notified mall did not apologize or even acted like this was out of the normal for them. I’m truly disgusted and find this disturbing that their manager i believe her name was Hollie & the ok site security didn’t get his name but he assured me he was the head of independence center security. I was not comforted in this situation nor did i feel like it was handled correctly. I will not be shopping here again and will be notifying independence police department of this situation that happened

Drove all the way from Liberty to spend the day with my daughter. She desperately wanted to go up on the obstacle course, which states online, is open at 10am. We arrived at about 10:30. No one was there to operate the equipment. There was a man behind the desk who said another gentleman would be there in about 5 minutes... He never showed up.We waited until 11:15. The first guys left and no one else ever showed up. I called the mall while I was there and security told me the staff works when they feel like and she can't enforce it..... Thanks for wasting my time and gas.

I still like some of the stores here but its only at 50% capacity. We went there on a Friday evening between 6 and 730 or so and it was slow all over the mall. Only a few of the food places were open. Lots of good specialty stores HERE

It's sad to see the Center now versus what it was like a few short years ago. Only 1 anchor store, many hole filler shops, several vacancies, just doesn't seem like there are any major attention grabbing stores, atmosphere is completely different. Just sad to see

Independence center is a decent place to shop if you are looking for some popular retail stores with several others nearby. It has been there for a very long time and I feel that they have done good upkeep on it overall. The mall is fully-enclosed, which makes it comfortable to walk around in any weather. It might be a good option for elderly folks who want to get some exercise and browse some stores. However, I am cautious to recommend it for kids and young families, as the area is not very safe or kid-friendly. There are not many fun attractions or activities for children, and the mall is located around high-crime neighborhoods. I have heard of several incidents of theft, vandalism, and violence in and around the mall. I think there are safer places to go with your family if you want to have fun and feel secure.
