Friendly staff, greet you when you first walk in, helpful should you need it. Good selection of tennis shoes and some assorted accessories. Great overall experience

This location doesn't stay open very late. I arrived one time and they had a sign apologizing for being closed. So I came back earlier on a different day. Prices were high. No good finds at this location. I have found better deals at other locations. I noticed the prices were marked quite high and then reduced to look like a sale BUT REALLY NO SALE. I ended up walking out empty handed. Probably won't be back.

I like the store, but closing at 6 pm everyday is a bit extreme. People don’t get off work until 5 or 6!

You know we shopped all day for 3 kids for shoes. Wasn't until we got to famous footwear did my son start getting excited because ...THEY HAD HIS SHOE SIZE... Believe it or not, they are they only shoe store in Independence that had a size 7 in men's. Thank you so much!!!!

Staff was friendly, store was clean. They have a big selection but I only found a few pairs of shoes I was interested in. Famous Footwear's prices were way too high. We decided to go look somewhere else and we found the same pairs as well as more pairs of shoes we liked for less money... way less.Found a pair of shoes I liked at Famous Footwear that were $74. I found the same shoe, the same brand, style and size from a competitor for only $46. That's a big difference! Famous Footwear did have a few good deals in the clearance section but they didn't have our size in any of them.
