This bank is fine to deal with if you never need anything from them outside the hours of 9-5 Monday through Friday and you never step foot outside of the Kansas City area. Otherwise, it's worthless. If you type the wrong billing address or wrong CCV number a single time while trying to buy something online, your card will get declined and then shut off, and the only customer service employees who can actually help you do not work on weekends. I was told the bank would get back to me in 2-3 business days after they locked my debit card while trying to make online purchases. It's archaic; as if banking never left the 1990s.

Attempted to close out my deceased mother’s bank accounts and thanks to Dezzarrae Ramirez and Shari Ring, I will never step foot in another Blue Ridge Bank again. They are unprofessional, lack compassion, and are both incompetent at their jobs which is funny considering one is the branch manager and one is the assistant manager. Do yourself a favor and find literally any other bank. Giving your money to a stranger or homeless person would probably be safer than giving it to these two.

The two ladies at the desks (not the tellers) literally laughed at me as I was walking out. Will never move my money there. That’s not even mentioning how condescendingly I was spoke to by what I assume was the supervisor. Not sure if that’s how she normally talks to people or if she took offense to me wearing sweats on a cold day but if they want to actually get customers they need to do some training with her.

Loan operations dept needs some serious training in customer service. Agent ( supervisor) who answered the phone was condescending and spoke to me like a child. From someone who was previously in banking, I would never personally bank with this company.

They keep closing branches, their ATM never has cash in it and constantly says "transaction unavailable", their mobile app is so incredibly archaic that this bank is very quickly dying. Planning on closing my accounts soon.

I have been doing business with this bank for about 13 years and have never had an issue. Jeff Scassellati , Edy Hall And Amber Starr have always taken care of my needs. Wouldn't think of ever going anywhere else. After reading some of the other reviews I cannot agree with them. I to have a business account and Blue Ridge bank financed my new Auto Repair Shop. Not sure what the other guys problem is with holding his deposits for seven days mine are good the next day

I've been banking with Blue Ridge Bank and Trust for 15 to 20 years now. and now I'm going to switch Banks. because for the fourth time in the last 3 years they've left me stranded. for some reason they flagged a transaction would shut off my card and then when I get it turned back on it won't work anymore. I constantly have issues with them declining sales when I have more than enough money in the bank. and now their systems aren't even reading that I'm trying to make a transaction and they tell me there's nothing I can do. and that it'll have to wait till the morning where I've got my 7 year old son in the truck with me stuck in the middle of BFE and can't get any money out or use my card to get gas to get anywhere. the bank is become a laughable joke and I'm tired of all their issues.

I've been using this bank for personal banking for about 12 years and am also on a couple of other accounts there as a signatory. I usually transfer most of my directly deposited pay from BRBT to a second bank whose debit and between-account and external transfer features are easier to use. Some things I still pay directly from or deposit directly to BRBT. These are a hassle to change which is pretty much why I keep the account. Last month for the first time, I made a mistake at the very end of the month, overdrew by about $50, and was slapped a bounce fee of $30. Not a huge deal, but I thought, "Wow, given that this is a 'local' bank and I have a significant history in good-standing with them--and the fact that I'm on other accounts, you'd think they could contact me directly or cover the fee!" That was disappointing, but I guess business is business, and why should my loyalty to them spur any correspondent loyalty toward me? Anyway, the other thing I would share that might be of interest to potential customers is my experience with the utterly dismal BRBT phone app, which I downloaded recently. This is quite possibly the worst app I've ever used. It worked for several weeks and then suddenly wouldn't accept my biometrics. Then it wouldn't accept my password. So, with some additional struggle and a couple of calls to BRBT, I changed my password and reactivated the biometrics on the app. It still did not work. My new password works, but that means, with the user number (which the app won't enter automatically), I'm tapping in about 20 digits. It's actually easier to wake up my laptop and access my account--which isn't much help when I'm out and about. To top it off, during all of this process, the help I got from at least the first person with whom I spoke at BRBT was decidedly lacking in warmth. I like to bank locally but I'm beginning to feel like this bank is not that interested in making things easy or attractive to personal banking customers with modest needs like mine.
