It took three months for them to repair my vacuum cleaner. Every time I call, they sound like they are upset/mad that someone has interrupted their day. Open very few hours per week.

Talked to them about my issue on their website, and they said to come on in so they could work on it. Got there and they aren't even open today (wed). Hours are off on google maps... they're closed most days, open noon-530 on others. Website is obviously a remote chat that has no idea what is going on in the store itself.

Had my belts and bags, friendly service. I have lived in Independence 14 years and drive this section of 40 hwy daily and had never seen this store! Hard area to be seen with the traffic and intersections but definitely need to do something to turn heads to the fact you're there.

Clearly, the new staff has no wish to even THINK about doing repairs and only wants to sell the highest-priced item there. Avoid them like the freaking plague!

I brought my vacuum here to be repaired and cleaned. There's a $10 deposit upon drop off and they ask that you take all attachments with you. This isn't a very high-end vacuum I was dropping off, so I asked that they call with a quote before doing any repairs or work. They did not call with a quote, just went ahead and fixed it, which ended up being reasonably priced at $33 and change after tax ($43 and change including the deposit, which is not applied to your final balance). When it was ready for pickup, I received a voicemail stating my total and that I could come get it. Two days later on a Monday, I attempted to pick it up during normal business hours and I had my two young kids with me. The door was locked although I could see a customer and an employee inside at the counter. The employee was making hand gestures at me that I didn't understand, so I tried to call the store and no one answered...I just wanted to pick up my vacuum. The customer left the store while I was standing on the sidewalk and informed me that the employee had been exposed to covid, then the employee chimed in and said to "put your kids somewhere" and then he can help me. Put my kids where? I'm not leaving them in the car alone, they're very young, it's hot out, this is not the best area. He said to try again next week. Three days later on a Thursday, I received a call from a different employee asking if I was aware my vacuum was ready for pickup. I told her about my attempt on Monday and she had no idea anyone had been exposed to covid, said there were no notes under my name about it (of course there isn't, he didn't even ask my name), and I could come get it. I picked it up today and won't be going back there. I commend anyone who makes choices they believe to be in the best interest and safety of their customers but I believe there was a much more professional and efficient way to go about it: a) you have people's property that they are expecting to pick up. If there is a reason they won't be able to do so, just call me and let me know to wait a week or call and let me know that there are additional restrictions since you last communicated with me. If a call isn't possible, make the info available somehow, like on your website; b) if you aren't assisting customers during your regular hours, put a sign on the door or something so I'm not calling and knocking and trying to interpret charades through the glass with my kids standing in a rough parking lot; and finally, c) why do your coworkers and employees have no idea that you have possibly been exposed to covid? This whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth for this company and the way it operates, so they lost two stars based on customer service alone. However, my vacuum is no longer making the death whine, so I'm leaving three stars. Don't use this establishment if you are looking for good communication and convenience.

Purchased a Riccar vacuum from Paul. Was very professional and easily explained product details, history and differences between modern vacuums and what would work best in my house. Great business!
