I had an insured package delivered to me damaged and so I filed a claim online. Yesterday I received a letter from the postal service in the mail saying to take the package and damaged contents to the post office which I did. When I got to the House Springs branch Kelly working there could not have been any less helpful if she tried. She told me there was nothing she could do and that I couldn’t be helped because the postmaster is in Kansas City this week. She advised me that the only post office I could be helped with for my issue was the House Springs one and that I needed to leave the letter I got with them for the postmaster to see next week. Keep in mind the letter said I had 20 days to come in or my claim would be denied and I received it almost 2 weeks after the date that was printed on it. This lady rudely asked me what the issue was with my stuff when I literally sat a crushed box right in front of her which was obviously damaged in transit. After leaving here I went to the High Ridge post office and they were absolutely wonderful. Chad was extremely helpful and even though it took a little troubleshooting to figure things out he was very nice and followed through and took care of my issue. Funny Kelly in House Springs tells me there is nobody else I can contact when in fact there was so she either doesn’t know how to do her job or is just too lazy to do it. Either way there is literally zero excuses for being rude and condescending towards customers when obviously she doesn’t have a clue. Will not be going back to the House Springs branch again unless I absolutely have to. Every single thing she told me about what needed to be done in this case was wrong and she was hateful on top of that too. Worst post office experience I have ever had in my life and I’m over 40 years old.

I’m basing my rating strictly on the stupid circle of hoops in their phone system I have to jump through to get a person on the phone. Why don’t these companies realize most people don’t want to go through a bunch of recording prompts. Just put a real person in the Mthr FKN phone!!!!

Kelly, works at the desk is amazing. It's a shame they do not come down our road, but they always make interactions easy and pleasant. Shame to see all the negative reviews.

I live on a very pot hole filled road. It's really bad. And I couldn't believe my eyes when the mail lady came flying past at at least 30 mph. Truck was bouncing around I thought something would break. Well somthing might have! Came up to her pulled over at a house delivering PACKAGES!! Not mail but PACKAGES!! BRAKEABLES! Just remember people! When USPS delivers your packages from this office they will most likely show up broken due to lack of intellectual drivers. And yes alot of my packages have shown up damaged. Very very sad.

Wonderful attendant, I was doing a lot of things for the first time and they managed to properly and quickly explain to me the details of what was needed even while attending to multiple other customers.
Glad to see the post office has amazing employees at this busy time of the year.

Thank you Shelly for helping me track down my stamps! Shipped from KC distribution center a month ago and took forever to arrive at the local post office. She helped me track and gave instructions on how to file a claim. She even called to notify me when they did finally arrive and were out for delivery! Super helpful and I so appreciate actually being able to talk to a person. None of the distribution centers would even take a call so thank you!

My wife and I have lost packages, because they've been delivered to the wrong house on the wrong street in my neighborhood. I also just had a time sensitive letter returned to me 39 days after it was mailed.

I would rate zero stars if I could. I am beyond disatisfied and disappointed. This is the laziest and most negligent establishment I have ever had the displeasure of encountering. Not only am I consistently given the incorrect mail. But I have moved twice now and both times I have been given the run around about when my mailbox key would be made. To my absolute vexation they had told me time again it would be made with in the week, only to have to wait and wait and wait. I call when the post master is in, and I'm assured they will make the key by the middle of the week. Only to call again and find out it has not been made, and can't be made as the post master is not in. I absolutely wish I could take my mail elsewhere as it is quite clear the employees do not care about their jobs or their community.

On several occasions, our mail person leaves packages on the ground, in my neighbor's yard. Not even remotely at/near my house. This happened again this week. Once, she marked a package as delivered, and I saw her almost put it in the mailbox. She put it back in her truck. It wasn't actually delivered until a few days later. The inside post office people have always treated me well.
