*INCREDIBLE* We had our '73 F250's transmission rebuilt by Carlson Transmission. Hands down the best mechanic experience we've ever had! They had it done in a week, they explained and showed us the issues, and the price is more than fair. We would have easily been charged at least twice as much in Utah where we moved from. She drives like a dream! A massive thank you to Carlson Transmission!

This shop is a very professional shop and the owner definitely knows what he is talking about. I have a 2018 F150 with the 10R80 transmission in it. I took it to a different shop at first and they put a new valance body in and didn’t fix anything then they wanted to sell me a brand new reman trans for double the cost of a rebuild. I decided to go with Carlson Transmission, just because of all of the good reviews from different people I’ve heard from his work. Took about 3 weeks total from the day I made the appointment to when I got my truck back. That was also with some parts being on back order and tearing the transmission down completely and doing it right. I highly recommend this shop to anyone and the owner is a honest older gentleman with a ton of experience. I definitely recommend him to anyone now.Service: Transmission

When it comes to transmission repair, it’s getting harder and harder to find anyone that wants to actually diagnose, repair, and or rebuild the original one your vehicle came with. Anymore most shops want to R&R them, and simply install a reman unit. I’ve had Carlson rebuild and beef up my older 400 turbo for my K30, and rebuild and beef up my newer 4T65E from my Impala SS. The impala transmissions are known to be weak behind the V6, let alone the 5.3 V8 that’s in the SS. I’ve driven that transmission now over 100,000 miles since Carlson went through it and it still shifts firm and runs out as perfect as the day it did after they rebuilt it. The turbo 400 in my ton is behind a healthy big block and it shifts and runs out perfect as well. I also had Carlson go through my NP208 transfer case from my K30 and rebuild it with excellent results. These guys know what their doing whether it be a old school classic, or a newer, more modern vehicle that these days are packed full with electronics. It’s well worth the little extra drive out to the country for the quality of service and reasonable prices you get with Carlson Racing!

These guys are a LIFESAVER! Transmission fluid was leaking LIKE CRAZY and these guys had me back out on the road in NO TIME. Would highly recommend if you need some superb car/truck service!
