Rooms: Cozy, clean.
Nearby activities: Came to shop the Missouri Star quilt shops on our way to a family function in Odessa.
Walkability: Walking distance to many shops and resturants.
Noteworthy details: It was nice to sit on front porch and enjoy the weather and conversations with the other guests staying there. Probably met lifetime friends from Texas.

What a gem! First of all, Terri is a delightful, gracious innkeeper and was so accommodating of our ever-changing arrival time. The inn has been beautifully restored and is very comfortable with personal touches everywhere so one immediately feels at home. The bed in the Estate Room is awesome, and we love having a ceiling fan over the bed! The attached bathroom is huge, offering both a clawfoot tub and spacious shower, and the sink is cleverly fitted into a Victorian dresser. It really is like walking into a spa. Oh, and let's not forget breakfast! Terri is a talented cook, and served up a lovely breakfast; the morning we were there, it was eggs, bacon, and blueberry pancakes, along with tea, coffee, orange juice, and an assortment of homemade jams as well as syrup for the pancakes. We spent much of the morning talking with her and another couple who were also guests. We're already looking for opportunities to return to the area so we can stay here again in the near future. Thanks, Terri, for a lovely stay!

My husband and I spent one night in the Cottage Room. The B&B is conveniently located near all of the quilt shops in Hamilton. It is clean, cozy and comfortable. Terri is the consummate hostess. She serves a delicious homemade breakfast. We had French toast, hash browns, bacon and fresh strawberries. There is a coffee bar with a Keurig for those who love coffee. The home is a combination of old world charm and modern conveniences. We will return.

This is a great B & B. The distance from the KC Metro area is just right. The home is decorated in the motif of the area which is a quilters heaven. Hamilton is famous for its quilts and the stores that cater to that pastime. I didnt know that Hamilton was the boyhood home of JC Penny and he has done so much for the town. The B & B is a beautiful old home that has been modernized to accommodate 3 spacious bedrooms and all are uniquely decorated. We stayed in the garden room which was wonderful. We woke Saturday morning to a continental breakfast of cinnamon rolls, boiled eggs, and coffee or juice. We explored Hamilton, which is a quilters dream world. Then we went to Jamesport which is not terribly far away and spent the day returning to the B & B that evening. We had the whole house to our selves and it was so quiet. You could hear the thunderstorms roll by but the best was hearing the rain on the roof. We woke up to the smell of bacon and came down to a wonderful breakfast of French Toast, Bacon, Hashbrowns, a fruit cup, and assorted beverages. The best part was Terri the owner sat and visited with us while we ate. She is such a sweet lady. I highly recommend this B & B for those that want to get away but not spend a lot of time getting there. The town is quaint and people are very friendly. I hope to be able to return to this B & B with another couple that is are friends to share in this wonderful time. I highly recommend this B & B to all who want to just get away and have a fun relaxed time. Thank You Terri for a wonderful experience.

My daughter and I stayed there 3 nights. Yummy breakfasts every morning (French toast, blueberry pancakes, homemade sweet rolls and fresh fruit.) Not a coffee drinker myself, but heard other guests oohing and awing over the selections.
Would definitely stay there again! Terri was a charming and friendly hostess. And made us feel at home.

Beautiful historic home. Perfect location for a quilt safari in Hamilton. Plenty of privacy and quiet. The breakfast was to die for. We had homemade blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, OJ, and coffee. Can't imagine Hamilton has a better place.

A charming, stately old home. Beautifully appointed with lovely updated bathrooms and very comfortable beds. I stayed there with a friend in November 2023 and would definitely repeat this choice whenever I might find myself back in Hamilton. Terrific homemade breakfast too! And it's just a brief walk to the quilt shops.

Reallly enjoyed our 2 night stay here at Shoal Creek B&B. Terri served a traditional breakfast each morning and joined my wife and I for conversation. Location is only a few blocks from MSQ stores. If your staying in Hamilton, you should stay at Shoal Creek B&B!
