I am a state board certified licensed nail technician and I would be weary of this place just based off of me peeking in the windows! We went next door to the malted cow and I decided to look into the salon window and the salon is currently closed and I was in shock and disgust with what I saw, the workstation is filthy with dirty utensils everywhere and products left out and half opened, nail dust and debris everywhere....Look at the picture I took of the dirty drill bits sitting together in a glass bowl. No reputable nail tech or salon owner would leave their workstation like this which makes me think they clearly don't care about sanitation or diseases prevention and makes me think the rest of these nail technicians implementations are less than sanitary at this place! If staphylococcus is something you want to experience check out this salon!

We bought a small cabin at the lake 6 yrs ago and we stay 2-3 weeks a month. We live in Independence , since my hairstylist quit 3 yrs ago, I've not been able to find anyone to cut my hair, I wear it very short and spiked. Everyone I've tried in Independence has messed it up. I started going here 3 years ago and Melinda has been cutting my hair since. I wait until we come to the lake to get my hair cut. The last time Melinda cut my hair, my husband dropped me off and forgot his phone. I waited and waited for him to pick me up. Melinda said maybe he's at the other hair port? She was going home for lunch and said she'd run by and see if he was there. I told her what he drove, sure enough that's where he was. Typical man waited almost an hour and didn't go in to see if I was there. To make a long story short Melinda sent him to the right Hair Port even though he dropped me off he went to the wrong one. She went above and beyond. Everyone is friendly. I cringe Dec- Feb because I can't find anyone to cut my hair until it's time to go to the lake and back to Melinda. Highly recommend this shop

Place is very nice and the people are great. However the wife and I were unimpressed with the pedicures. The wife's manicure was ok but they don't do gel which is what my wife likes. In fairness we did not ask when we scheduled our appointment.

Place is very nice and the people are great. However the wife and I were unimpressed with the pedicures. The wife's manicure was ok but they don't do gel which is what my wife likes. In fairness we did not ask when we scheduled our appointment.

Just had the worst pedicure ever because I asked about their color selection (or lack of) prior to starting. This apparently offended the person performing the service therefore, I was treated with a cold shoulder the remainder of my time. The reason I know that she was offended was she did not have any problems with venting the issue to another co worker while I was waiting for my toes to dry. I am in the process of moving to this area and am trying to establish services, thankfully, I found Sultry for my eyebrows and Hair by Ashley for my hair. So, at least I am in good hands on those fronts and will never have to return there. I have NEVER not tipped someone in the service industry even with mediocre service, this was terrible, I did not tip and paying $40.00 for someone to paint my nails (not a pedicure) was outlandish. Thankfully, this does not appear to be their primary source of income! My suggestion is try to find a friendlier place if you are looking for a relaxing pedicure.

To be honest I debated even posting a review I was so upset with the quality of work for my nails and toes. The lady was nice but thats the only thing good I have to say. Nail acrylic has dips and bubbles and already look as if I've had them on a week. Polish... well my 5 yr old niece could have had a more successful go at it. Pedi was just as unimpressive and needless to say I had to come home and reshape and Polish both nails and toes. Glad this was a gift certificate for everyone's sake and the $40 remaining already went into the trash. Will not ever waste my money here.

First time there and I was worried! I forget the woman's name but she washed, cut, and styled my hair. Didn't expect it to be straight but she straightened it and I was unsure. Showered and did my own thing and let my hair do what it does and my waves looked healthy and not flat. So yes, she had done a great job!! Thank you❣

Tori is amazing! My sister was getting married on a Saturday (10/22/22) and she came in on a day the salon is closed just to do us! She did my mom, me and my sister in 3 hours. Our makeup and hair was great!!Our friend sometimes comes here to see Tori when she comes to stay at the lake and she told us to go see her! Glad she recommended her!The salon is huge! It is across from Sonic and Remax and there is a location down the street so don't go to the wrong location!It is very nice inside with nice decor and colors! Definitely need to come in the summer to get pedicures!
