Cute building. The ice cream was really good and we would go back again only real complaint is the hours. 10-3 especially on a Saturday aren't ideal for an ice cream shop. 3-10 would make sense.

The absolute BEST butter pecan ice cream I've ever had!!! I sampled the bourbon peach vanilla & the Fog (earl grey tea) & both were delicious but I couldn't pass up the salted butter pecan. Adorable place, awesome customer service & the tastiest ice cream! The only downside is the hours. Just wish they were open later but well worth the trip if you can get there, definitely go!

Love this place. The homemade ice cream is over the top. Such a fun and friendly place. There’s even an upstairs to hangout with bookshelves to choose a book from.

Filled with local goods, unique wares, & fun food items, Truman General is the perfect stop next time you need a gift- for you or someone else. ;) They also offer homemade ice cream, old fashioned bulk candy, & seasonal items. Workers are friendly & eager to help you find a treasure. Excited to visit again!

Awesome place! Super cute and cozy. Ice cream flavors and taste is SO AWESOME. Such unique flavors that rotate weekly and is made in store! I got to try all the flavors they had for the week and picked the lemon and olive oil flavor. Very zesty lemon flavor that’s light and refreshing. Lots of different products that are definitely worth picking up! Great staff that’s warm and welcoming. Check this place out!!!

I'm a transplant from a big coastal city and am deliriously happy to be living here in the peaceful, kinder, more caring Midwest-but one of the few things I miss about my old cosmopolitan city is the plethora of mouth-watering artisanal ice cream. Truman General's homemade ice cream is here to solve that problem. Its offerings are on par with the best ice cream shops in larger cities on the coast!

Another great addition to Main St in Grandview. The owner also owns Housewife KC next door. Truman General focuses on providing local items for purchase from stationary to candy and toys. They also serve homemade ice cream. It is a beautiful easy to shop store. Upstairs you can sit and relax with your ice cream or items from the coffee shop while classic movies play on the television. Truly just a happy and kind place. A lot of great food items that would make great host gifts.
